There is no rule. If a player kicks the ball out of play, the opposition are under no obligation to return the ball to them, also if the referee stops the game in order for a player to receive treatment and no foul has occured, a drop ball restarts the game neither team is obligated to return the ball. (For a drop ball) If a player states to the referee that he is returning the ball to the oppisition and the drop ball becomes uncontested and that player "changes his mind" and dosen't pass the ball back, there is nothing the referee can do (offically), in practice, most referees will stop the game and re-drop the ball which will then become fiercly contested.
I hope this helps
Old Keeper,
I have submitted a new thread for advice on the Laws, all queries welcome!

It is a good idea but would require a change to be agreed by all clubs, also the issue of B and C players playing with the A teams would pose a problem. But it is still workable and we have the means to print a match sheet for each match detailing the squad and any suspended players could be highlighted. speak with your club and ask them to bring it up as a change at the next Delegate meeting
Old Keeper,
I was looking through old threads and I found this, as a referee I wouldn't be comfortable policing suspensions for a league, and if this was proposed and accepted, this is what referees would, in effect be doing.
Before any of this could happen, you would need to be in agreement with the local referee society branch as to their role in the administration of this scheme and I would find it difficult to believe that they would agree.
Only my two pence worth
The Ref
I agree with you saying that refs should not be policing suspensions etc but the idea was to allow both teams to see the card and they could see if any players were suspended and then take action if required.
as always these are just suggestions and would need to be teased out at meetings
One wants to be careful of playing B/ C team players on A team. While I can understand why B Team players play on A team. C- team players should only be aloud to play as high as B team other wise it confuses the situation.
The only reason a club has a C-Team because the number of players at that club in order to give lads football thou most of the players on C-team wouldn't make it passed Bteam:cool:
Hi Renovator
"1st Feb each year is the transfer deadline" was what i posted should have been "Before 1st Feb each year is the transfer deadline"
Rule 16
The closing date for all transfers shall be before the 1st of Febuary of each year. Any bona fida application to clubs by players made prior to this date shall be in order provided the committee be notified in writing to the secretary before this date.
Sorry if there was confusion My fault I will PM Allab to make sure he is aware of the error. Thanks for spotting that
thanks old keeper
Are you sure that C players can play with the B team. I remember a few years back a B team I was playing with were short of players. We tried to bring up a few of the C team but were told that C players can not play with the B team only the A team. This was for a league game.
Hi Old Keeper,
I'd just like to say that the LDMC website is excellent. There are 2 things that are missing:
1) Previous league and cup winners
2) Top goalscorers for each division.
Other than this the website is a great help, keep up the good work.
Every league has its own rules regards to C-teams some league may regard this team as a reserve team others may see it as a c-team and will alow its players to play as high as B like, B-to Ateam.
Should c-TEAM player regrade up to B then in most league's would be then able to play in its A-team in acordance with its rules, regards to A to B
Confused yet?:D
