Yes and no. Most outfield players can last until 35 or so. 32 is three years the right side of 35. 38 is three years the wrong side. McManaman was playing Premiership football last season (maybe not playing very hard), Gazza was in between some Chinese side and an English Division Three side and hadn't played top-flight football in a couple of years.
