i'm not at all saying that we are so good. but..
we are for sure not as easy as you guys think we are
we have better results then ireland so far in this campign (we played france twice and away at cyprus)
wining in cyprus isn't easy, as i said before, and you will discover that when you play there.
every team needs some luck - look at liverpool against chelsea and then going on to win the champions.
we have no pressure as to ireland which will play with pressure to win the game.

so after all our situation is promising

yes ye did have a good result against the french at home, i watched that game and there is no doubt the sending off of trezeguet changed the game. France were by far the better side in the first half and ye wouldve not equalised if the french had 11 men

I can't stand the Swiss and the French have had their shot so I'd prefer it if it was Ireland and Israel qualifying. However, you're basing a lot on lucky results. Also, your defenders kicked Duff off the pitch in Tel Aviv and they won't get away with that in Dublin.

Fair enough, I honestly would like to see Israel qualify behind Ireland but I think the main game for ye is in Switzerland. Ireland were the better side in Tel Aviv, if we had shown more ambition and less negative tactics, we would have won by 2 maybe 3 goal margin.
Will just have to wait and see this new guy, we heard the same of benayoun before the last game and he wasnt much to talk about.
Whereas after sat, you'll be talking alot about Duff, Keane, Reid........

thank you very much, i have a feeling that dublin is going to be one of the best away trips.
about the two-nil. i'm planing on having at least one happy moment in the game, so at least one goal for us. this is what i said when macabi haifa played at manchester united and indeed yaniv katan, who will play tomorow, scored the first goal. i hope tomorow doesn't end as that game did 5-1. but on the second game haifa won man u 3-0 so maybe second games are good for us.

just to get you guys on ground from all of your 3 goal margin predictions, israel's national team and israeli teams are not strange to wining important matches against big teams - some results from the past years:
hapoel tel aviv - chelsea: hapoel kicked chelsea out of the uefa cup (i don't remember if duff was one of the casulties there...). hapoel went on to the querter final of the uefa cup that year, and lost to milan.
macabi haifa- man u: 3-0 - i'm sure there was at least one irish ambasdor on the losing side that night.
macabi tel aviv - ajax: 2-0 - a result from this years champions league.
france - israel: 2-3: although it was a long time ago (10 years) that game kicked france out of the world cup qualifiers.

so wining in dublin good be a nice addition to the list (not to talk about the consequense of going to the world cup...)

Cant speak for the rest but i def dont see a 2/3 margin, prob a 2-1 result for Ireland i reckon. You mention israelie club teams, thats all fine but club football is a completely different matter. As i said before, this is Ireland in front of a packed lansdowne, its v rare we dont get the result we need.

Hope you enjoy your stay in Ireland but dont expect much welcome or favours on sat evening. Oh and do us a favour and stuff the swiss when ye play them.

as for the national team we have numerous draws against the first line of national teams -france (4 draws - somehow we play them each campign), spain... and wins against teams like austria, romania, and turkey.

But how many of the international team actually play for either of them??

Almost all of your national team play for clubs low down in the israeli league.
Even with the injuries at the back and Roy missing, if we can't beat you at Lansdowne then, fcuk that, I'm giving up the football and taking up tiddly winks :D

8-9 players from the starting eleven on saturday play in the israeli league, most of them come from macabi and hapoel tel aviv and macabi haifa (the champions).
and personaly i (and grant...) think that this team is better, then letting players like eyal berkovic play...
