Yeah, all second-placed teams go through except the one with the worst record against first and third in its group. In a tight Group 2, Belgium came second, picking up only a point against first and third in their group. As we have already picked up three points against both Macedonia and Georgia, we are guaranteed to beat that record, even if Poland beat us and overtake us for first place. It isn't as daunting a task as for the U-19s, who must top their group to get through, but still an impressive achievement to have done it so comfortably so congratulations to all involved. So our U-17s have made it to their final tournament for the second year in a row and will be playing in their third in a row next year at home.
