Steady rain still coming down here on the south side of Cork as I look out the window at work. Whatever about the game going ahead, my inclination to attend is considerably diminishing.
And I ask you all, seriously, is there any point going ahead with it if I'm not there?
I remember that day, it was just a unreal shower a of rain that started about 30 mins before kick off . I remember we experienced something similar when we played Drogheda away, it was a lovely day until we hit Drogheda & game was call out just as we were arriving at the ground.
It is so annoying when its obvious that a game is not going ahead but the leave so late to call off that fans are put out.
Drying up in Cork now thankfully but if the pitch is in the condition it was for Presidents cup game with this rain on top it should be called off. Any others look in danger of being called?
Only light rain for last half hour (near stadium) fingers crossed.
Interestingly on our forum the talks is that the league want it to go ahead. Waiting on the match officials to make the call at 4. Can a local ref call a game off?

Pitch looks heavy but I've seen games go ahead on it in worse states than this. Was it Harps last year were the ball was stopping in puddles? The water was doing a better defensive job than the Harps defense at times.
Well done to the ground staff at Turners Cross getting the pitch playable despite the recent downpour.
Another inspection at tallaght at 5:30 according to Twitter
What a shambles
In fairness to the Bohs fans (not something I say very often) its getting late in the day to get over from DE Northside.
With all the new immigration rules since Donald Trump was elected the Queues at customs on O Connell bridge are taking longer
