I took some photos of the east stand and it was crammed in the middle around the singing section with people standing in the aisles and in front of the seats, a bit more thinly populated at the Mountain end but if all sat it was at capacity or very close, not sure about 5,200, maybe 500 less. I really do think that if we had won in Dundalk and the weather had been decent we would have had the 6K. 10,000 people saw Rovers in the space of 8 days hints that there is a market for a well attended league in this country The club has being going about its business very professionally off the pitch in the 12 months which will have long term and lasting dividends attendance wise. One comparison worth looking at is the A league in Aus, it seems to have taken off and when you think that they have done this competing against Aussie Rules (the equivalent of us competing against the GAA), The Sydney derby is now one of the biggest sporting fixtures in the country and is only going less than 10 years i think. Well worth a look on you tube.
