Aldridge is not a like for like comparison here as has been pionted out elsewhere I believe. He has a lot of natural ability and I think he does offer something Stoke something they lack when he plays (particularly as an impact player) but he really doesn't do it often enough and he has little interest in defensive work. He's basically an inferior version of McGeady.

This article would suggest a telephone call is all that is necessary! I would have thought the likes of O'Hara and Stearman would be more of a priority as we are pretty strong as wingers go.
