A family club includes everyone of all ages, and regardless of whether you label or package yourself as a family club, you want to be able to attract all ages to matches. Hopefully teenagers wouldn't feel unwelcome because they weren't allowed to sing songs others found offensive.
Although there is a great sound for some matched from the lower end of the covered stand, I have to admit to finding some of the bad language a bit unnecessary. Chants can be funny/supportive/challenging without swearing. I curse like a trooper so I've no problem with bad language, I just think in the setting its not needed.
In a big crowd there is a certain amount of anonymity, but in the setting of the Carlisle Ground there is pretty much no escape from any bad language, so you can't even really seperate smaller kids from the area. Family club or not, there will always (and should always be) plenty of children there and a little consideration should be given. There is a difference between reacting to something on the pitch or letting a roar at the ref or players, and singing a song that might offend some other spectators nearby.
