As someone who lives near enough Lansdowne, you're completely wrong. LR allowed traffic to filter out in all directions, and twenty minutes after a game the worst of the traffic was usually over. As Croker is smack in the middle of town, congestion from it is awful, clogging up the city for hours, and with no helpful traffic calming measures, or parking available. I despise Croker, can't wait to be out of the hole.Quote:

It just complete anti-irish football. I havent heard of one away support flag being removed from the ground. Im sure the away stand will be full of polish flags next month.

its far from that in fairness, its a gaa stadium and works very well for both hurling and football. I havent been to a rugby game there but i understand it works reasonably well for rugby too. Unfortunately the same can not be said of football.Quote:

Just to throw a bit more fuel on this fire ;) the FAI aren't allowed to show any "soccer" on the big screen before or after the game or at half time (eg EL highlights, other Ireland games etc.).
Part of the agreement is that promotion of "soccer" isn't allowed.
I was going to say it was absolutely mindblowing, but sadly its no surprise at all.
Roll on the return to Lansdowne.
