Is the bust up the reason for Keith being away? or had they a bust up over Keith wanting to take leave for family matters?
Read the article, there was no bust up.

Comedy Gold.
Why would he be go home if it was a bust up? Surely he'd be released, sold or loaned rather than go home where he would be of no value to the club?
Depends on the nature of the bust up. Hypothetically, if the bust up involved the manager being out of order, the player could be excused going home as the club don't want to a) air their dirty laundry in public and b) put anything in the way of the player moving on in the next transfer window. A window that only opened last week
Hypothetically, the player could be back in training now with a view to a move away from that club once he's proved his fitness
Hypothetically
Did Fahey not go on leave while with the Irish camp though? Or am I remembering wrong?
Tried to upload a screenshot but failed - anyway, check Keith Fahey's tweet from 3 November

Training with Shamrock Rovers to regain fitness ahead of his return to Birmingham.
I saw that, I dont think the St. Pats fans will be too pleased about that.
Statement from BCFC.com:
Quote:
Birmingham City is happy to confirm that, as a period of leave to deal with an important family matter comes towards an end, midfielder Keith Fahey has resumed training
The circumstances that required Fahey to return to Ireland mean that he has begun a period of training with Dublin club, Shamrock Rovers, before his planned return to Blues in a few weeks time.
Explaining the decision, manager Lee Clark said: “Keith has been out of the game for quite some time so his and our interests are best served by him doing what amounts to a full pre-season and we have requested that he would do this with the top club in Ireland – Shamrock Rovers.
"I am pleased that Keith has now started this programme and I expect it will hasten his return to first-team action.”
"the top club in Ireland – Shamrock Rovers"
That's just more proof to support the contention that Clark speaks with a forked tongue.
Good news on Fahey!

Speculation that he'll move back to Ireland in that article?
That's a bit harsh to say the least. He's only just gone 30 and is a very good midfielder that would sit into any Championship side comfortably.
Also, according to Wikipedia he has 16 caps, not 6...definitely sounds right to me.
Poor journalism
Even after the last year, I don't think he'd have any trouble getting a contract in the Championship. I'd love to see him at Rovers but no chance.
Fahey is a curious case... his return to Ireland during the season would suggest he's a bit of a home bird, plus wasn't his original stint in the uk cut short due to homesickness if I'm not mistaken?
I'd imagine we'll hear more about Fahey and his circumstances over coming days....
He's too good for the LOI at this point in his career.
It would be a timely boost to the League here of course. I just wonder, what's the possibility of him joining Sligo? Champions League qualifiers, and Joey N'do really getting on in the years.
He'll be playing in the English Championship next season lads
QPR?!
