Like the drummer I once read about who played with a 70's satanic prog rock outfit but ended up in the Eurovision Song Contest house band -you fcuk with the forces of darkness at your peril.

Haven't had a chance to hear the entries this year, no sound on computer at home or work
There is a preview programme on RTE tonight about 23:00/23:45 showing all the entries, might watch that. I think I have heard the Azerbaijan entry ages ago, and it's quite catchy. Bit of a Prince character. I'm pretty certain Dustin will get through the semi-final.
I await mypost's expert opinion on the entries :o:D
Dustin's entry will either win the whole thing, or fall flat on his face. It all depends on how the bloc react to a Dubliner in a sink singing about Terry Wogan, the revelations that the Danube flows through France rather than Belgrade, and whether he screeches out FYR Macedonia, instead of Macedonia. :oQuote:

It could only happen in Eurovision.
If Dustin doesn't win, I hope this does:D
good press conference
Eurovision??? Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha and so on and so forth...
Quick prediction before the semi results:
Dustin to scrape thru' and finish about 15th in the final.
I just don't think he was any more unique than a lot of others and I don't think that he's going to attract the support especially in Eastern Europe who won't get the gag.
Got a few boo's from the crowd before and after he sang tonight, not sure if he'll even get through.
fair enough observation, i say hell get through alright
Gutted :(
And we're out.
Didn't thnk much of the song to be honest. First time I'd actually heard it.
Well Eastern Europe didnt get the joke. Saturday night, Eurovision party in shreds. Gutted. I'm not even sure I can watch it now. I quite like France's entry though. And the Finland one as well.
And they say Europeans have no taste in music!!
Very hard to hear/understand him tonight which didn't help,it sounded all over the place.
It's supposed to be that way. :rolleyes:Quote:

Obviously Norway got the jury vote.
It was a bit of an embarressment. The song was atrocious whatever way you look at it. I thought Bosnia Herzegovinia has the best song faollowed by the Azerjaiban one. The rest of it was usual Eurovision fare with Dustin being by far the worst entry of the lot. Norway gets douze points for the mute button viewer.
It was meant to be that way.Quote:
