That's just hilarious.Quote:

I hope a lot of Saints supporters will be there tomorrow so we can rock the Olympiastadium and sing "Ha Ho He - Hertha BSE"!
Is German TV streaming tomorrow nights match?
Having watched Berlin in the flesh, they are a very average team. Finished mid-table in the Bundesliga last year, and are mid-table this year. With Voronin upfront, they're unlikely to make much progress up the table.Quote:

Are Fahey and Quigley fit to play? Anyone missing at all for Pat's?
Only 7.000 fans will expected today in Olympiastadion. What a shame!
Well good luck to Pats & here's hoping something spectacular can happen. But even if Pats are destined to lose, it would be nice to see them go out fighting to a close scoreline than getting a good hockeying.
In my view, they're not just representing themselves or the league at this stage, but the very prestige of the league too. There has been far too much negative battering at the hands of hacks too enamoured with the English league to give the LoI a fair trial; some unequivocal good news would be fantastic.
As they said on MNS, if they can keep the score down and still be in the tie, they would have done more than enough.
Arsenal scraped a late goal in a 1-1 draw with Kiev tonight:eek:
Dynamo were sloppy v Drogs and took it easy towards the end in that game. Arsenal still should have won the game.
It was nice to hear Jimmy Magee praising Drogs at the end of the Kiev Arsenal match last night. Regardless of how Kiev played in that match, Jimmy (who, I'd think, would have an idea of the league seen as his son played in it) still got the Drogs mention in.

Paddy Power giving away 5 sets of tickets...
Wrong thread.
From the FAI:

Marco Tardelli said: “I saw St. Pat’s earlier in the season in Richmond Park and they looked very impressive. It’s a great achievement for St. Pat’s to be playing at this level, great for domestic soccer. Best of luck on Tuesday.”
Hertha is so bad at the moment. They lost on the weekend against Cottbus and plays horrible. I think St. Pats have on Tuesday definitely a big chance. You can't get a better chance! If Pats stands save in the defense and play about the wings, they could beat Hertha. Hope for a big crowd on RDS. Then that could be also an important case to make the germans still more nervous.
I know Ticketmaster and the club are selling tickets, but will they also be available at the ground before kick off?
Many from here planning on going?
I'll be heading after work, might wear my Youths jersey. Will definitely have my woolly hat with Youths badge and, since Friday night, Rovers badge.
Feel free to say hello/abuse me if you spot me!
Pats fans are heading to the new grandstand if anyone is interested.
I want to tell you shortly what's the tenor in germany to the match. The german football magazin Kicker wrote on monday in a article:
Favre: "It could expect us a hurricane"
At first the elimination in the 2. round of DFB Pokal and than the defeat in the last bundesliga match against Cottbus: Hertha BSC stand under huge pressure before the ireland-trip.
"We have an advantage, we are 2:0 in front" say Hertha coach L. Favre. "But St. Patrick's Athletic will show a other performance as in the first leg in Berlin. It could expects us a hurricane tomorrow. We must be able to abide mental the pressure." [...]
So you can see, Hertha BSC is nervous and affraid because of the last bad results. They aren't in a good form.
Will be there with my Cork City Jersey, probably complimented by a Pats scarf. but will be supporting Pats will a full voice.
Have many tickets been sold so far???
Will be there with my Rovers jersey, in FULL voice and in the thick of it with their hardcore support! will be with a few mates from work so we will be singing with the lads. Lets try and create a hostile atmosphere and really try to unsettle the Germans.
I'll be there in my Iraklis shirt (a Greek team - friends in Thesaloniki)
along with KianD - presumably in his Harps colours
Must get a Pats scarf tomorrow.
Really excited by this game - Pats COULD get thumped, BUT, they could pull out a great result - just like they did against Elfsborg
Someday soon an Irish team will qualify for the Group Stages of a European competition - it COULD be tomorrow.
:ball:
I cannot make it myself but whatever the result and pattern of the game I hope there is a great atmosphere there tomorrow. St Pats are a great club and deserve huge credit for doing so well in Europe this far.
The only hope for Pats tomorrow is that Hertha are not "up for it". If Hertha are as motivated as they were in germany for the 1st leg Hertha will win. They gave Pats a lot of respect leading up to the first game and they got their reward.
Anyway, good luck to all and we will all be praying for a Pats win (somehow) tomorrow.
Hopefully there will be plenty of high balls into the box for Quigley and/or Fitz/Murphy to get onto. The important thing is not to concede a goal a early which usually happens teams from Ireland at this level.
Best of luck tomorrow, play with confidence and without fear. I will be frantically F5'ing the text updates as I'll be in work until 7, all the best.
If we score first we have a chance, simple as that.
About 6,000 expected according to TV3 tonight.
I think the main thing is to win the game, it will be hard to win 3-0 for an outright win, 2-0 is possible with an early goal about 1-10 Mins gone. 1-0, 2-1 would still be a great win.
What's goin on?
The links for this section are all arseways.
This should be the Eircom League TV Schedule....
