It seems we've hit a point in the season where clubs doing poorly have seen their attendences collapse and some of the better doing clubs e.g Cork, Derry and Sligo are drawing very respectable crowds.

i'd say 2300 is pretty much spot on for our game on saturday
Same as any other season summer or winter.Quote:

Don't get me wrong Pete, wasn't making an insinuation, just stating that we've hit that point.Quote:

1050, as near as damn it, for Rovers v Longford. Bogford actually played a bit of football, which was a pleasant surprise.
Do teams going for promoting in the 1st division get bigger crowds than if they were battling relegation in the Premier? Can anyone from Bray, Harps answer that? (I've excluded Sligo as been a while since ye n Premier)

Bray, UCD and Dublin City all get more in the Premier near the bottom due to the away fans, particularly the Dublin ones.Quote:

According to the stats here, UCD and Bray's crowds have about doubled this season from last year, though away Dublin crowds help. Harps are up 25% or so, although last year's final day crowd of 4000+ boosted their average by a good bit. Take that crowd out (I know you can't really, but anyway), and they're up 40-50%, I'd say.Quote:

Pete, Stu just said above you, they are up.
Think I missed another week there. Must be getting a life! :) Update after the weekend. Last season in brackets. (2) indicates a match in the second round of games.

Edit - have put Cork-UCD in at 2500. 3000 is mentioned elsewhere, which may be right, but just want to keep things conservative. The official figure will be announced in due course anyway.

Don't have all the individual figures but I don't think there's been a game below 500 and the games against other Dublin clubs have been around 1000 so it seems perfectly reasonable.Quote:

Reckon 700 at the Kilkenny game give or take. The Stand was about 3/4s full and I counted 180 on the old Shed side.
Dundalk 0 Sligo Rovers 0 last night, there was in excess of 1000 at it. Sligo had a good amount of away fans too for the division, maybe 250 of them.
bout 475 and yet again it lashed rain all the way through.
Fai.ie give's 3,500 as official figure for the derby tonight. approx. 1500 city fans travelled.
i'd say about 400/500 for the Galway-Kilkenny match...lashing the whole way through!!!
Not saying 3500 not correct but fai.ie in the past just guessed numbers for our games.Quote:

Our website has 900 down for our game in Dundalk;)
i'd say dats pretty close. i wuda sed jus under 450 myselfQuote:

Edit - 100 to 150 at Kildare v. Dublin City according to the Kildare forum. Have updated the stats. Harps forum mentions 4500 for the Derry game, but says that's an unreliable guess from someone at the game. Will go with the 3500 from here until we get anything else.
