I cant see why people would think this is a shock, When everyone is fit Shannonside have the best team in the league by a country mile, they have just been plagued by injuries this year. That result last night could have been 7 - 0 and to be honest I would expect a similar result next Fri. Broadford have been over hyped all year and last night they were shown up bigtimeQuote:

Their record in the league would suggest it was an off night. Losing 2 league games all season and averaging over 3 goals a game is an incredible achievement.
Not to mention being 13 points clear of their nearest rivals.
Also what happened to Abbeyfeale this season?

I don't think anybody can argue that Broadford have been the best team in the Desmond league this season. IMO last night Broadford were below par while Shannonside just had 1 of those nights that everyone played very well. I still think Broadford will turn the tables Friday night.Quote:

Shannonside were the better team on the night simple as that. Behan is excellent, so difficult to deal with every time. They are a bit of a bogey side for us to be honest, they've beaten us now the last 7 times in a row spanning 3 seasons and 2 league cup finals. It should be a great final tonight,following Sunday's result probably the most interesting final in resent seasons. Add in the bit of banter from here which I'm sure both teams have seen. Hard to predict but I'll go for 3 - 1 Broadford,they will be better prepared tonight,maybe they were a little complacent last weekend. Predictions lads?
Yeah, I would agree, I fancy broadford tonight, it's very hard to win two finals and I think they will be better prepared tonight, their injuries won't help though and shannonside could capitalise on them not being at full strength

It was a poor game though. Wonder did the heat and the hard work of the previous Sunday take its toll on the Shannonside boys? Suppose this time they have a 7 day recovery so that will help them. Will be another close one I'd say, probably will be a 1 nil game, with a mistake or a bit of class to separate the sides. Anyhow best of luck to both sides this Friday,
