I hope your Chairman isn't a regular of the special padded ward of Daisy Hill, otherwise, run! The initial bounce will drop into mayhem. Serious Caveat Emptor!
When Saturday Comes (uk mag) out this week (March edition) have a full page spread on Bohs & state of the LOI in general.
Also a section about Stenhousemuir featuring Alex Williams !
will have to buy that thanks oriel!
I don't know whether to laugh or cry when I read of some of the players linked with Bohs, both through the media and by Bohs fans
The new mantra appears to be "wage caps at €500" which as a piece of delusional propaganda ranks right up there with "Rovers are part-time" and the 2010 Bohs version "no new contracts over €1,000 pw"
Take Liam Burns as an example - Ian Foster is on record as saying that he had offered him the same terms as last year, which Burns did not accept. Now it appears as though he will sign on for cash-strapped Bohs for a reduced wage of €500 a week!!!
I would be amazed if the Bohs fans speculation about Shaun Williams and Ronan Finn is anything other then bizarre delusion, but when you consider the potential players that are mentioned on the Bohs fourm the mind boggles:
B Murphy
G O'Brien
A Price
L Burns
L Fitzgerald
S Williams
R Bayly
R Finn
S O'Connor
A Flood
C Fagan
C O'Connor,
M Rossiter,
O Heary,
G Cronin,
S Byrne,
G Crowe,
The FAI and the Bohs board have more sense then sanctioning the sort of budget that this would need. Don't they???
burns baby burns...
Is this a rumour of a potential wealthy backer?

Ok is it just me or is the above post blank?
The above post is solid GOLD I assure you
Only 3? I must be seeing double coz could swear there were 6 sheets to that wind!
youre the one who needs sanctioning if you think we will sign all those players FFS. Cop yourself on. The reason a lot of players havent signed with us is due to the fact that we havent offered enough and/or another team has offered more. Wise up.
Crying foul over transfer rumours and imaginary wage offers? Ive effing heard it all now.
B Murphy - stuck with
G O'Brien - newspaper rumour
A Price - laughing stock after last season and has apparently let himself go, hardly big money
L Burns - not sure where this rumour came from, season is about to start, free agents have to be getting desperate.
L Fitzgerald - never heard of him, assume small money?
S Williams - rumour is a loan deal, wouldnt be big money ad highly unlikely to happen
R Bayly - hasn't set the league on fire the last few seasons but is a confirmed signing afaik. Hardly big money
R Finn - newspaper rumour
S O'Connor - old rumour, haven't heard anything recently
A Flood - unlikely to be big money
C Fagan - unlikely to be big money
C O'Connor, - stuck with
M Rossiter, - unlikely to be big money
O Heary, - stuck with
G Cronin, - stuck with
S Byrne, - guessing the new rules regarding taxback means this wont happen
G Crowe, - not happening
A Hungarian - sounds promising, hopefully small money
Both Rovers have been linked with around 150 players, do you think they will actually sign all of them? I'd expect 5-10 players on up to 500 a week with a lot of last seasons A team making up the rest of the squad.
So you're negotiating with Celtic?
No worries mate, just sounded a bit strange and was wondering if you knew more.
Like who? I thought ye only started looking at signing players in the past week; haven't been too many transfers confirmed in the past week.Quote:

But like who?
Cronin is injured so we're keeping him, PFAI pushed for it afaik but still the right thing to do, Heary has a job as long as Fenlon is there, not fully sure of the story with the 2 keepers, would have preferred to see one or both go.
Seeing as we are stuck with Fenlon and the above players it makes sense to pay a few more players small money picking up Setanta and potentially European money along the way. If we could have got rid of everybody I'd have been happier with an amateur setup but realistically with Zurich looming we're probably better off with a small profit to breakeven budget at Premier div level than dropping down to the A Championship.
So you don't really know?
Stuck with him alright - would hardly have agreed to any termination deal, as he could not have got a contract elsewhere
Not "stuck with" any of these three. Choosing to keep them
Contract to 2013 - cheaper to pay him off then to keep him?
IMO Fenlon is more "part of the problem", then "part of the solution"
