gave up reading the so called article after the part about him critising mike aherne and pat sheehan......the work that both these men have done for junior soccer is nothing short of extraordinary and for obrien to bad mouth shows up what kind of person he is.....
On the referees are there ones out there with..strong club connections..?if you were going that route at least six of our current top [i use that word advisedly] referees would miss out on plenty of premier fixtures given they have connections with various clubs.there has to be an element of trust where refs are concerned surely?On the AOB season review ,once again a well written article from him with lots of lines in there for discussion whether one likes what he says or not,for one who plenty want to dismiss they still read what he has to say.BTW references to local media for their contributions to the local game are maybe valid ...or not depending on you point of view.it should be pointed out however they are well paid for that contribution are they not?

IMO no not at all,AOB deserved it for his contribution to the game travelling the lenght and breath of the country reporting on games and his radio work commentating on games was also immense ...great coverage and insight for those of us who couldn't make it to certain gamesQuote:
