It's all about the domestic action now... in fairness great for the league to have TWO teams in the last 8 in Munster! Hopefully same again next season!
Desmond Cup this weekend... Abbey & Rathkeale (AGAIN)! They must be sick of the sight of each other!
Any other results from the weekend?
Anyone at the Rathkeale V Abbey game?
It's gone awful quiet on this thread, any results from last wknd? Who will win the big prizes from ere on?
I only heard a few.
Desmond cup
Newcastle rovers 5-0 Granagh
Abbeyfeale 3-0 rathkeale
Premier division
Killeaney 3-1 Broadford
Thanks, that is two big results for killeaney and abbey, I had heard killeaney had a couple of great young players this yr but still a bit of shock?? Rovers goin well again an goin by table still v much in title race, I thought ratkeale might turn abbey over the wknd, is that four times abbey beat ratkeale so this yr?? That would never happen when I was playing..
Does anyone have that draw for the Desmond 1/4s?
You can say broadford are out of the title race now after that defeat. Big game for them this weekend against Rovers. I said it months ago that abbeyfeale will clean up this year and the league is certainly there's to throw away. They will win the Desmond cup also
Have to agree with Fanaticfan, Abbeys to lose now. Very organised team this year. they would be favourites for the Desmond Cup also, but Broadford, Rovers, Ballingarry and Carrig all still left in it so to early to tell yet. Be nice to see a division 1 team to win it. Rathkeale B and Glin doing well at the moment
Abbeyfeale are in pole position alright, as was said already it's their league to throw away now.
It's up to Broadford, Rathkeale & Rovers to try and keep the pressure on them.
On Rathkeale what's happened there, seem to be gone off the boil completly...
Huge win for Killeaney Sunday, it's turning into a right dog fight at the bottom... Athea hanging in there, Killeaney, Newcastle West & Carrig all separated by 1 point!! Interesting at both ends of the table.
Between the footballers playing for limerick and not playing for rathkeale. They are a huge loss. Dropped points last few games against shannonside, broadford, Newcastle and ballingarry. Lost to abbeyfeale 2 or 3times also
I cant see Carrig or Ballingarry winning the Desmond cup this year. Between abbey broadford and rover I think with abbey winning it

All these players are not from Rathkeale, this happens when teams bring in a load of outside players.
Ya but rathkeale have gone down hill since the limerick footballers went back playing.
Broadford 1 Ncw Rovers 2
Abbeyfeale 8-0 Athea
Broadford 1-2 Rovers
Desmond cup ¼ finals.
Ncw Rovers vs Broadford
Kildimo vs Rathkeale B
Glin B v shannonside b or Ballingarry
Carrig vs killeaney or Abbeyfeale
Desmond Cup
Killeaney 0-4 abbey Utd
Shannonside FC 'B' 1 - 0 Ballingarry. Unbelievable Jeff...
Some result for Shannonside B, beating Ballingarry, guarantees a Division 3 side a place in Desmond Cup semis.
Ya great result for shannonside b yesterday beating Ballingarry at home 1-0. Maybe sports fanatic can give a lil report on it. Rovers joined top of the league after beating athea 2-0, Michael o Keefe and Padraig kinahan with the goals. Athea had only 11 players and one got injured so there manager PJ came on as a replacement. Should be a good game this weekend with rovers vs Afc
Wasn't at the game fanatic but heard they went back with only 11. We're all over Shannonside for the whole game but couldn't score! Shannonside defended well and scored in the last injury time and held out for the win. Fair play to them
