Actually went to watch this one,cobh deserved the win,even game until Midleton keeper dropped the ball for goal,Devine made one of best saves I saw in along time to keep it at 1-0,cobh got lucky for there 2nd,I was standing in line for 2nd goal and they got away with a offside,ur man o Shea in midfield broke up everything for cobh.Quote:

Hall went one up from a pen, UCC got back in front before half time with two well taken goals.
UCC full back red carded for a nasty challenge, scored from a corner soon after to make it 3-1.
'Hall wide from a penalty with about 15 min left which would have made it a very different game, ;'Hall CB got second yellow in injury time.
UCC saw out the game and look a very decent side

Avondale were docked 3 points at the start of the season but I don't know of any others lately

Ringmahon to take one spot comfortably. Think Midleton and Cobh will catch Everton. Almost impossible to call between those two but Wanderers have the slightly easier run in so going with them. Really hard to say though. Not a bad finish to the league!

Some clubs use this too easy, I don't have a issue with a game being called off if it's close to team member or a committee member as a mark of respect ,but if you deny that clubs don't use this as excuse at times your deluded, I played with a team a last year,there was a death in club and league wouldn't call game off because funeral arrangements were not clashing ,mark of respect thrown out the window go to funeral and get over it was a clear message,now with two games to go in a tightly contested league there calling off a game of a season that's running on too long already,there is plenty ways to really pay respects to someone in a dignified and nice way.Quote:

As I said above, that was a scenario I was involved in ,an that they are not calling games off for deaths easily anymore ,it's not clashing so get on with it,and that was middle of season ,this is why I'm amazed it's happening now.Quote:

Agree on both points here but in regards the game presumably its down to shift work and home teams being better served by midweek games it's the way of the world now
