Robbie wasn't anonymous -- he was involved but missed a great chance to equalize for the Galaxy.
It wasn't El Clįsico tonight but it had drama and was entertaining, and certainly a big night for Canadian soccer.
Things are on the up in Canadian/North American soccer and personally I'm going to enjoy the ride rather than taking unnecessary and often off-base potshots...
Hardly, the standard of football is shockingly poor. If the MLS didn't have a foreigner rule we wouldn't be forced to watch a bunch of sub-standard American and Canadian players who can barely kick a ball. The Whitecaps are a great example.Quote:

You'd think that considering the football passionate Irish influence in Saskatchewan, they could field a decent team.

However I did feel deflated after this game, when I had time to reflect. My source of deflation was lack of invention. Anyone else think Keane doesn't look all that happy with scoring? Also seemed weird to me that the player between Keane and Dunivant chose to turn around and celebrate with Dunivant instead. Maybe just me but seemed a bit odd.
I think he was just relieved to get an easy chance. It was his fourth game back for the Galaxy tonight and he'd missed a lot of chances over the last couple of weeks. He fluffed a couple tonight before getting the goal so I think he was just relieved to get that one.Quote:

They're not actually being particularly formal. A lot of Hispanish folks use both parents' surnames. When I lived in Mexico, it was sometimes difficult to convey that I only had one surname, and sometimes people would innocently use my middle name as one of my surnames. The reason you so often see Hispanic players with their first name on their shirts (like Raul, or Ronaldo) is that it's shorter than their surnames (Gomez Blanco and dos Santos Aveiro respectively).
