They have a very nice pitch. Should be playable barring some very extreme weather.

Pretty decent draw for the home sides in the fai. Think wel have at least two tsdl teams in last sixteen. Surely its saints year with the league in the bag already
Couldn't agree more with boywonder always stupid talk about saints it was the same in the last round against nenagh we are not looking beyond landen it would be both disrespectful and insulting to think otherwise it's like people like to put the pressure on saints what's that saying let's take it one game at a time and I can tell you nobody is looking beyond Dublin thus week where by all accounts we are in for a very tough battle
doubt it very much just look at last years winners in their last 2 rounds thought their games would be over at half time aswell only to scrape through on pen's.
Clonmel Town beaten again, whats gone wrong with the club ive heard there is committee members resigning and B team manager apparently resigned aswel anyone know if this is true, there seems to be no end to it at Town at the moment if that is true.
Fantastic win for Saints in Ballyfermot, against a team unbeaten all year, real momentum now going forward, as for Town i do not know the ins and outs of it but wouldn't you imagine they would appoint Charlie Mckeever and simply not take no for an answer, they are in for plenty more defeats in their current state
Good win for saints yesterday over a decent team who made saints work hard for it it was a very workmanlike performance but to be fair saints were good value for it even though chalkie missed another peno
As for town it's sad to see what's going on at the moment I think winning league last year papered over alot the cracks on / off the field I believe their troubles go back to the time when blossom was manager who left under a bit of a cloud , nobody wants to see what's going on as junior football needs a strong town side
great win for saints yesterday and a nice reward with a home draw in next round. also well done to bansha celtic on their win. 4 tsdl teams in last 32 is fair going and all 4 will have great chance of progressing further which would be great for the league. the cashel win against clonmel town is not that much of a surprise cashel pushed saints all the way in a league game over there a few months back with saints winnin 3 2. that result yesterday gives saints an oppurtunity to put 1 hand on the trophy if they beat town at home on the 30th dec.
Heard there was plenty of BANTER in tipp town between Saints and Bansha Lads. Tough win for Bansha, down to 10 men from the 65th min!
Great win for Cashel over town. Also superb win for Peake they really are coming into form. Did Barnes or any other new signings play for them on Sunday?
Derek Breen, Graham Loughman, David McGrath, Michael Rafter, Noel Kent, StephenCarroll. Michael Fitzgerald, James Walsh, Paul Breen (Capt), Chris Higgins, Colin Bargary, Thomas Fahy, Richie Ryan, Pa Quinn, Conor Conneally, Declan Peters, Sean O’Hara, Alan Leahy, Donal Duggan, Jimmy Hynes, Kevin Waters, Jimmy Carr
A lot of new names down there. Best of luck to them.
good morning guys (newbie here) just wandering does anyknow when the draw for the next round of the tipperary cup is on
ok maybe this is a stupid question but does the tsdl team have to be made up from only premier players, some good players down the divisions that could do a job for the tsdl team
serious squad assembled, will they all show though, going my past announced squads and the team that played i doubt it. Peake well represented, really fancy them for a good fai run. my 11 from that squad would be :
1 breen
2 bargary
3 higgins
4 breen
5 walsh
6 carr
7 duggan
8 waters
9 kent
10 rafter
11 Hynes
ya good team there alright, i hope everyone shows. just one point, i have seen the peake goalkeeper on a few occasions this season and i think he is the best in the league and deserves the jersey
Intersting to see stephen carroll from peake there. Only 18 along with conor connelly. Is the league trying to go with more youth than usual?
Yes good squad there let's hope we do have late withdrawals with mystery illness / injuries and hopefully clubs will make sure their players attend and I hope we dont have the farce like last time where we had 10 saints players starting certainly not fair on saints Im hopeful though other clubs will step up to the plate
Conneallly goes to school in Cashel, as far as i am aware he wudnt not be on the first 11 for Town even at these times, i wonder how he is on the panel
Conneally is in college in Cork now. I'd say his bean is wrecked when he gets called up to le Oscar Traynor. Where is the Boca Glasheen? Some man for 20 goals a season
Is boca from tipp town fc?...if so, decent player in fairness to him.
maybe tipp town fc have 1 or 2 capable of being on oscar traynors?
Has the Oscar Traynor Cup in South Tipp hit rock bottom this season. Most clubs have no intrest in it, most players (as the squad Tsdl manager has to put together shows) have no interest in it and the supporters don't turn up to watch the games, you would see more people at any Div 3 or 4 game on most Sundays. The only reason so many St Michael's players are on the Squad is because of 2 pepole Tommy Lewis and James Walshe, and the fact 90% of premier players won't touch it with a barge pole. League need to have a serious re-think after this season's fiasco!!
Westhammer I agree with your main argument on the whole Oscar Traynor situation
Where I slightly disagree is firstly this lack of support has been going on for numerous seasons not just this year and your view that saints players only get on it because of influence from 2 people while I agree that 10/11 players should not be happening do you not agree that the likes of Higgi breeno chalkie jimmy carr Ritchie ryan are there on merit
I will ask a question to the general forum are we at the point of withdrawing the team or do we change the format
where we pick a team from lower leagues with players who will appreciate been selected ?
The point about St Michael's was that just because the Saints players could be easily contacted on the day the Clonmel and Thurles lads did not turn-up, they should have then contacted other teams to put players forward for the next game not just stay with all 10 or 11 saints lads.
Maybe there should be trials a month before the first game and at least you would know that the players that come to a trial have the interest to play for the TSDL team and outsiders can at least feel they have a chance of getting a fair go at a place!! It might not produce the best the TSDL could put together but it will be a stable squad made up of lads who will feel a bit of pride in wearing the shirt.
The best 11 players are not always the best team . Have seen it before managers get oscar traynor job and have a shopping list of players ( not talking about tsdl just talking about oscar teams in general) their eyes light up they take the best players in league guys with rep's and hype . Then when comes to putting team out team doesn't gel etc etc sometimes u better off getting a nice even balanced team with guys who work hard etc and have desire . Before ye take me up wrong i'm not singling out anyone etc or any team this is just my view . I beleive that must leagues could put together 2 or 3 differant oscar teams and still be strong as must prem players are roughly up and around the same level ie the left back from clonmel should be on a par with left back from micheals give me a good keeper a good centre half centre mid and a scoring forward and any manager should be able to fill in the spaces around them in such a way as to bring best out of team
I reckon Town will beat Michael's tomorrow #boldprediction
Feed The Hurricane McGratgh and he will score.
As Bob Dylan once said, "This is the story of Paddy Kane. The man Johnny Cremins came to blame.
hilarious post especially your prediction :)
I think philipnooanful has had to many cans of Bud over the Christmas!!!
any result from cooke?
Very poor 1st half with Town playing the better football, Saints playing alot of kick and rush stuff. 2nd half a bit better with the difference being Jimmy Carr, the Town no2 will be having nightmares about him. Even at 2 down Town had 2 or 3 good chances. Pitch was heavy and I was surprised to see so many players going down with cramp, at least 4 or 5!!. Saints will have to improve big time going forward if they are to win FAI or Munster honours this season.
I would agree with you on the improvement side of thing but were still wining and not playing great. When Rafter gets fully fit and Pa Quinn back in the side Saints will be a differant animal. We played our best football too soon last year and ran out of steam in the end but still managed to win the Munster Jnr. A good year all things considered so heres hoping for more silver ware in 2012. HAPPY NEW YEAR all!
Pearso I agree not the best from saints but still won 2/0 playing poorly as we all remember last year playing very well against town and losing 1/0 which cost us the league , saying all this I think 2/0 was about right town had a couple of chances in the 2 nd half but so had saints to extend the lead , I think we will put it down to Xmas festivities but saints can re focus with a tough game at villa on Sunday which will stand to them the following week in fai
As for town they have something to work with the young guys ( if they hold onto them) it can turn around very fast all you have to do us look at saints we were in the same boat 3/4 seasons ago
pearosa i would agree with you saints peaked too soon last year which probably cost them an fai at the end of the day however i wouldnt automatically assume that saints are going to rediscover the form thay had at this time last year as i believe alot more teams now have their homework done on saints and the town performance the other night summed that up aswel as the game in dublin and also pike's performance last year in fai final.
have thurles players left town ? Will they be in Peake squad next week versus saints? can anyone shed abit of light on the situation
I know for a fact Ted O'Connor has left and join Peake. Other than that, nothing on the other lads. Peake V Michaels is going to be a very good game. I reckon Peake are now as strong as anybody bar Michaels, who seem to be a step ahead of everyone at the minute.
Ya peake should give them a game, hopefully they have a bit done over the xmas break otherwise be very difficult to keep up with saints for 90 minutes.
congrats to TippTown Fc for winning the 3rd division shield yesterday against killrusty. 6-0 final score
great performance all round.
