Best of luck Jamie. Thanks, but no thanks now. Hope his handful of caps for England over a regular place in the Ireland side for years to come are worth it.
If England is his ambition then I hope it works out for him, but this stringing Ireland along act is getting tiresome. The book should be be closed on this guy now once and for all. Don't ever want to see him in an Ireland shirt.
If we don't wish to be strung along, as you say, maybe the FAI should offer him an ultimatum; accept the invitation now or never. Without the option of an easy back-up down the line in the likely scenario that his England dreams don't reach fruition, he might be forced to rethink matters.
if those quotes are accurate, i want to change my answer on this poll and state that i do not want him in an Irish shirt ever. There's only so many times he can state that we are a distant second choice.
I dont think he's saying anything new here. He's be consistent all along, we are a distant second choice.
Forget about him, he has chosen to join Seth Johnson, Michael Ricketts and Lee Hendrie in the one cap wonders team. If he even gets that far...
I await the 'I was misquoted' statement a la Stephen AH. Despite this statement I can't feel he would bring something to the team.
39 of you want him to wear our lovely green shirt? :( I'm shocked.
Exactly...there is nothing new in his quotes so it makes the 2/3 of people that voted to say that they would like him to pull on the Irish jersey all the more ridiculous.
Sometimes I cannot believe how some people would be delighted to see a mercenary like this declare for us. Surely we should have a bit more pride in who we want to represent our national team.
Stephen Hunt was on iTalkSport on Setanta last night, and was asked about O'Hara. He said he thinks O'Hara would be a good addition to the squad, but he needs to make a decision and be done with it, and he has already spoken to O'Hara about it.
