You have good sources, my Sligwegian friend!

They're the only two who were still in contract at the end of the season. We'll probably keep another three or four (possibly Mahon, King and McWalter) and work off our A Team after that. Everyone else is pretty much a free agent at present (in the same way most of the league's players are), and if they can't find a club and are happy with the reduced wages we'll have to offer in the First, we'll probably take them back. Could see us keeping another two or three players that way.

Either way, we've (hopefully!) got a nice backbone to the team and with a reserve team who've quality-wise been promoted to the First Division and a third team who've qualified for the FAI Cup, I'm expecting a top four finish next year.

unlike UCD. Might have helped pay players wages too.

Thankfully wont have to go near the dump for a few years (at least)

Might have but didn't, evidently.

Gate receipts are fairly marginal compared to total income for the likes of us and Bray.

Not sure if it's been posted already but reported on i102 radio station this morning that Galway players are looking for new clubs because they're not happy with part time contracts.

That a bit of a stretch, Alan Matthews and an undecided Pat Ffenlon were also linked with the vacancy 'til the confirmation now.

They were wise to go outside of the League of Ireland to fill the position. Shamrocks have a poor employer reputation at the moment.

Fabio set to sign for Fingal along with Meagher from Drogs. Has it been confirmed about Lester signing for Fingal yet?
