Harps sign American Joshua Smith from Sc Hessen Dreieich, must be good if he played for them!
Sean Boyd has signed for us on loan from Shamrock Rovers having been at Harps for the first part of the season. Can’t say as I’ve seen a lot of him but we need a striker.
Boyd didn't impress with us,not a surprise a target man style striker didn't impress in fairness for us but I'd say it's his languid style that doesn't put him on supporters side...
Cheers. I’d have said we needed a good finisher as opposed to a target man given the way we play but maybe the drop down a division will help.
Andre Wright signed by Bohs subject to "international clearance".
Awaiting UN sanctions when we play him anyway.
Sean McCloughlin off to Hull City

Trevor Clarke rumoured to be signing for Rotherham for €120,000
Surely that's a mistake. Back in 2017, Paul O'Hehir was suggesting that Rovers would pocket a lot more

Trevor Clarke could fetch Shamrock Rovers €500k minimum with move
Good luck to the lad if it happens.
His contract is up this year so its not too bad in fairness. Sean Kavanagh is expeted to sign a new deal.
€120k for your second choice left back isn't too bad I'd say. Doesn't seem to have come back from injury the same.
If Trevor gets a chance to play on either side of a front three in England he'll do well. He was always able to do a job as a left-back or wing back but it's not his position, and unfortunately for him Sean Kavanagh is a better footballer at the moment. I'd have liked to see him and Kavanagh on either side as wing backs but it didn't really happen.

Confirmed that Clarke is going and Kavanagh has signed a long term deal.
I think we need to be realistic at times when players go over to England. I’ve been thinking for a good few years now that the Championship might be a step up too far. If we look at the last 3 or 4 LOI player of the year winners, from Towell, Horgan up to Maguire all who went over, only the latter has established himself. Towell did ok for Rotherham, but they didn’t have a great season, he’s now with Salford. Horgan never really got a proper long run at PNE, but he’s doing well to be fair at Hibs, good move that for him. Boyle mentioned the change of manager at PNE didn’t help, maybe it didn’t, but he still didn’t play that much in that division.
The championship is better than a lot of european countries top divisions, and I honestly think we are in no position to look down on League 1, any player going over to that league can still have a good career, and will earn at least twice more than here. A player going to the championship would probably start on 5k a week, even if they dont make it, the contract will set them up nicely.
Heard we have signed Glen McAuley who released by Liverpool but haven't seen anything official.
Sam Byrne from Bohs to UCD. Was with Dundalk last year - but doesn't seem to have made any impact at either?

Graham Burke linked with a loan move back to Rovers.
Carr no thank you !!!
[QUOTE=D24Saint;2010304]Carr no thank you !!![/QUOTE
Would sign him in a heartbeat.
Burke is not a midfielder he is a striker, was our top scorer with 13 (from memory) when transferred mid season.
I would love to have him back.
He hasn't exactly been prolific in his career, no point bringing in a player that wont solve our problem.Quote:

The problem pat's have is not on the pitch, or even on the sidelines. It's in the stands, in my honest opinion.
The fans have seemingly decided not to take to my precious H from the off and appear intent on hounding him out...😀😀😀
Burke would be a very good addition to Rovers if they can get him, he'll certainly offer a lot more options than Cummins does. It will also give them a better chance of closing the gap on Dundalk, even if there is only one game left between them and that's in oriel park.
I wonder how long PNE will look to loan him out for, up to end of Dec probably ?
If he goes on loan to Rovers (or any other LoI club) he won't be able to play in England again till the January window - it's a disadvantage that does not apply to lower league loans within England. If it happens, it does not augur well for his future at PNE or at another club in England
He is an Irish International player so Rovers are bound to bust out a few more kitchen sinks to take him back on loan!
He is another of the league's great hopes of plying his trade in England after cutting his teeth here. Maguire remains the only recent solid success albeit injury hampered. His involvement with the International squad is probably as much to do with the lack of options than him tearing up the Championship. Salford would pay a good wage at a level Bruke should be well fit for..
Burke is a bit like Mceleney in a way. They have the ability to play at a higher level but havent done it when they had the chance. Outstandingly gifted players but england may not be the place for them. Ok Mceleney was unlucky to be at a bad club but he still ended up back here and not at another English outfit. Jack Byrne at Cambuur should have been a sign for cultured irish players that other leagues may be a better fit. Or maybe its a complete misconception that the lower english leagues are more blood and thunder. Maybe they are just better than we think?
Either way, if Burke comes back, the league highlights package will be better for it and Im sure bradley will find a way to fit him in and i dont see many kitchen sinks being needed for a loan player. A good move though probably too late to prise the league from dundalk just yet. If he signs for next year and jack byrne stays (i can dream)......
What's another year?
There wasn't a whole lot to get my studious little friend. See I just choose not to fire back to every single post with a wind up attempt whereas you serve no purpose here other than that. I'm sure it entertains you in the library while you struggle to keep up with the intensity of your diploma but It's pretty dull reading and clogs up what could be an interesting cross-club forum.
On the topic of transfers, what have you got? Anything interesting?
Dundalk interested in Zach Elbouzedi as per an article in the Irish Mirror yesterday, report is saying Waterford have knocked back the latest offer.
He is a free agent at the end of the season I think. Very good player, though not sure who's place he'd take, but he def would improve the options, we were limited for that for the left side in Riga with Duffy not travelling.
