I remember them winning it about 16 years ago beating adare in the final in rathkeale.
Killeaney can put pressure on carrig and rockhill with a local derby win over athea the weekend...it looks like it will go to the last day of the season..killeaney v rockhill to win division one. sayin that if carrig win their 2 games and rockhill lose to killeaney they will finish 3rd after holding top spot all year... interesting last few games in division one...

Shannonside 2 - 3 Glin Rovers
Glin Rovers had a good win last nite away to Shannonside, 3-0 up at half time with shannonside replying early in the second half with 2 quick goals one from a penalty. Glin Had several chances through out the game to increase there score but fully deserved their win. Pressure mounting on NCW Rovers and Kildimo after last night.. Glin Rovers seem to be a second half season team winning all the vital games.

I wasnt at the game but By all accounts they had a full team...had 6 r 7 subs to choose from. Athea began with 9 players, had a 10th player after 10 mins, switched the goalie mid way through the 1st half and found them selves 2-0 down at half time. killeaney missed a glorious chance after half time to go 3-0 up and that would have been game. Most have been a poor performance by them.
Huge result in the premier. I would think that is the title race over and done with. 2 more wins would seal it for BroadfordQuote:

Any suggestions as to who'll come out of Desmond Cup semis, suprised to see Abbey lose to Glin the weekend, not the best preparation for a huge game against Broadford.
You'd have to favour Shannonside to come out in other side, although Rathkeale B will put it up to them.
Who'll win league cup between Shannonside and Broadford. Shannonside and rovers are the only teams to beat them this season. Should be a cracker. Shannonside beat them a few years ago in the final, if memory serves me, although alot of new signings on both sides since.
Ya should be a great game on friday night between two good footballing teams, i hear they are both missing a few players through injury, king and shannahan injured and might not be right for it,kelliher suspended for abbey with yellow cards,and quirke got injured playing gaa but should be ok.U would have to fancy broadford with the form there in.
