The post you agreed with Sku on there wasnt nice now was it. Tut tut and all that etc etc.
Its sad when someone has to start a thread about a poster from diffrent board on their own board just because that poster might not have agreed with a Bohs fan on here.
From Daniel McDonnell's twitter:
Hearing Bohs deal really is in trouble. Delaney in Drogheda tonight and may be able to provide clarity. Apparently he's unhappy with Bohs.

That said, I still find it hard to believe it could collapse. Surely they can find a workable arrangement.

Hearing from @RuaidhriOC in Drogheda that Delaney wouldn't speak, but Fran Gavin did and was more positive so...we shall see what develops.

Am i right in saying that Bohs wont pay off all the players until they get a licence ?

Wow...you are a powerful man Stu.
shock horror - negotiations hit snags! Who'd a thunk it.
Is that shock horror snag Bohs not paying off unless they get a licence?
To give the man his due I reckon Delaney has pulled a stroke and a half here! :)
Bohemians Football Club.Quote:
STATEMENT OF STUART GILHOOLY, SOLICITOR ON BEHALF OF BRIAN SHELLEY AND STEVEN GRAY
I am happy to confirm that all issues between Brian Shelley, Steven Gray and Bohemians Football Club have been resolved. The players have reached agreement for termination of their contracts and these details will remain confidential. The winding up petition will now be struck out.
The players would like to record their disappointment at how the matter was handled by the board and the length of time that they were left without any payment.
They are, however, pleased to put the matter behind them and would like to wish the fans of the club well for the future. They are both now seeking employment elsewhere.
Idiot. ;)

FAI firmly deny they are giving Bohs financial aid
By Aidan Fitzmaurice
Friday January 28 2011
THE FAI have insisted that they are not offering financial assistance to Bohemians in the club's bid to survive for next season by cutting a deal with their players....
this might silence the "FAI bail out Bohs" crap ive had to read here.
Might also dispel the nonsense we got from Bohs that they could only do a deal with all the players together. Might have saved themselves all the bad publicity, and threats of being wound up if they just did the decent thing in the beginning. I presume Oman is the one holding out now?
Yes of course, hardly an impartial source like your good self Stu , remind us where those "broken promises by Bohs board " were again ?
Interesting that in the interview Shelley did over the wweekend he confirmed Bohs always maintained they would be paying off players at the end of January, perhaps he does not qualify as an "impartial" source either ?
Can't we all just be happy is sorted!
Any explanation yet as to how Bohs were able to do a deal with the 2 lads, after we were all told that they could only do a deal with all the players together or none at all?
Does anyone seiously believe that the FAI haven't paid off Shelley and Gray, and will recoup it from whats left of their prize money from last season?
Anyone know where it is at on deals with the remaining players?
I'm hearing that the Bohs 2 of Shelley and Grey are now being replaced by another Bohs 2 (MARK 2) who are still refusing the pay-off deal being offered. One wants to stay and see out his (current) contract, while the other is being obstinant over how he perceives he has been treated.
Isn't today the final, final day fro deals to be done for the purposes of licensing?
There's no such thing as final, final in terms of licensing.
No, no proof, just a belief. And one that i'd say most people share. An article from fitzmaurice, or even a quote from delaney isn't exactly proof either, given the way delaney has become expert at "political answers", and fitzmaurices allegiances.
Just seems very odd that one minute its a deal for all, or a deal for none, then 2 players get paid, while other players are holding out, and some are stuck in the middle. I guess we'll never get a satisfactory answer to that though because if as i supsect the FAI have got financially involved, it'd open too big a can of worms for it to become public at this stage. Maybe delaney will confess all on his death bed.
What happens Bohs now? Huge point deduction or relegation????
Shouldn't be hard getting a pint now with all the barmen Bohs will have now!
I suspect that nothing will happen to bohs. Their deal to buy out the players contracts is dependent on bohs getting a premier licence, so i don't see the league letting Bohs make the players redundant.
i think it is incumbent on those making allegations against reported facts to provide some concrete proof or else shut the hell up to be honest.
It's pretty natural for people to be curious about how such a turnaround was reached, if the FAI weren't involved. No-one expects to receive exact figures or details, but usually in this sort of situations you here rumblings of what actually went on, the only one of those, and the only explanation anyone can think of is FAI involvement.
thats great and all Jicked - what is being alleged is not beyond the realms of possibility despite the fact that there are so many answers to the questions that have been posed.
All im saying is, Dodge shouldnt be demanding proof of the deal that was done. It should be proven by those making the allegations as being different to what has been reported. Thats all.
The FAI were clearly involved in making the deal happen, i dont think that is in dispute. Whether they are financially involved or not is clearly in dispute and the rumours all started from a twitter remark and yet have taken a life of their own here and are now considered fact. Its all a bit ridiculous if you ask me.
What if some poster came on and said that Carlisle definitely hadnt signed Paddy Madden? Or what if Daniel McDonnell tweeted that? Who would the posters believe? The numerous articles in the press or the flimsy unsubstantiated allegation. A little bit of consistency from this forum would be nice.
yeah. But i was shouted down in minutes and eventually i shut the hell up. I dont see that happening here. Instead we have people calling for proof of the deal as reported in the media.
Plenty are saying it CD. I dont have a problem with speculation as long as it is not presented as fact or doesnt lead to being accepted as fact. I also dont think that a poster should be challenged to provide evidence of the deal that was done to prove that it was in line with what has been reported in various media outlets. If people are going to present or claim that something other than what was reported was done then they should be the ones to produce evidence or shut the hell up. I dont think that is an unreasonable position to take.Quote:
Who's saying the reported story isn't true? Besides, people are entitled to speculate - if you didn't have the emotional investment in the club that you do you'd be speculating too.
It's unreasonable when you tell people to "shut the hell up" - it's unusually aggressive.
