Well it turns out that the reason for pushing it back to Thursday wasn't a conspiracy to ruin Limerick and an opportunity to pair it with their super-dooper-FAI event type thing (which I believe was to do with officially opening the full-size astroturf pitch or something to that effect). :)Quote:

When you consider that there were only about 30/40 Limerick there, it shows there is a potential, we need to get some FAI legends here every week to keep them coming back!
Hopefully we can build on it. The whole purpose of the Festival of Football week is to showcase what is going on in the county at every level of football and to use the publicity & good will of it all to build and make football stronger.

Longford are a jokeshop. Appalling and amateurish set up indicates that its only a matter of time for their future in senior football is questioned. To say Cronin has a huge job is an understatement.
How do they keep going on paltry attendances like that?
