I feel guilty for converting a perfectly good thread into a downward slope of sexual insecurity and questioning.
A second thought - I decided not to slap her, or tell her to become lesbian, instead we're sending her to Shrewsbury for a week, in hope.
I've donated the entirety of the collection for me from when I left my last job to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown
Also, I've given them my old PS2, that I don't use anymore, and some games. According to the lady in the cash office that I spoke to, they don't have a children's ward but they use consoles in their long term patients ward. If it's not needed there, it will be passed on to Temple Street Children's Hospital.
Got engaged yesterday. All feels a bit strange!
Congrats.....
...I think.
I should have said strange in a good way! Together 8 years and been seriously planning it for a good 3 or 4 months it's a massive relief in some ways. Probably should have arranged the day off today though.
Given your new status, shouldn't you change you name from passinginterest to lifelongcommitment?
That depends. We went with the option of going to a Greek island and doing everything in a really relaxed, informal way with just over 30 people there. We only put the detail of the ceremony together with about 5 days to go and finalised the night before. Very little stress involved.
How people can be arsed with the full blown Irish wedding is something I just don't get!
She definitely won't go away, she hates leaving the country at the best of times. It could end up being huge but I'm pretty sure we're both sensible enough to keep it manageable. We've talked about most aspects of it over the years so hopefully it'll be a relatively smooth operation. Probably looking at July 2013 when we'll be 10 years together so a decent amount of time to get things done.
Las Vegas Elvis Wedding. Simple. Romantic. Fun.
I've got the biggest crush in the world on someone and whenever I see her I can't say a thing other than "hey" (while presumably looking quite creepy in a tall, dark and serial killer sort of way). The palpitations and dry-mouth don't help.
In other, less important, news. I may have broken a bone in my foot. As someone who runs around for a living, that is not good news.
Also, congratulations passinginterest!
These two things can combine to work. If you get any sort of visible protection device (cast, boot, etc.) and can make her notice it, it can be an easy conversation starter. You can also make up a story about breaking it doing something heroic. This is, of course, all assuming you didn't break it falling off a ladder because she caught you staring at her through a window and all you could do was say "hey."
I like the way you think! Looking forward to getting an x-ray now, hopefully there's a break! :D
And if there's not, hold up the hospital and rob a pair of crutches.
