As far as I know, Shels want to play the compensation in the form of players - but they're high wages/ players we don't want. Drogs the new favourites as they can pay us compo in cash.Quote:

welcome back my old friend ........................................:D :D
its shows how far the club has fallen in the short few years
Long time waiting for a bump,it doesn't have to be about the back 4 it can even be about the expected arrival of a few females to Section O:eek: :D ;)
This order has definitely changed...
1) Floury main crop spuds, steamed.
2) Chips (either Manchester Chipper or Henry & Rose in Bray)
3) Boxty (McEniff's probably the nicest shop brough, fried egg on top, sandwiched between 2 slices of Cully's (Micko's Choice) Batch.
4) Secret recipe homemade oven spuds things - hard to describe, crinkle sliced spuds done in the oven, sprinkled with cheese.
5) Boiled Charlotte potatoes.
This goes back 6 years!!!!
Wow how we've all changed. This thread should be put in a time capsule so if we all should shuffle off this mortal coil (where the hell did that phrase come from btw) this will be our legacy. Oh and make some room in Section O, I'm comin home for the Bray game! :)
Speak of the devil.... We've never been relegated whilst this thread has been going - FACT.
Eh Macy, we've never being relegated whilst any thread has been going- don't think foot.ie was around in 1985!
Sillivan, Doherty, Brennan, Prunty.
Its not the longest thread anymore. Not by a long shot. Think the honour goes to Totty Watch or maybe Word Association game.... Nice run while it lasted though. This thread i mean.
Most of those threads are mergers anyway. Zero threads merged into this one - it's the only long thread with any credibility.
an old friend this thread, its amazing how much the team has changed, we should be doing a where are they now section soon !!!!!!!!!!

Not all that impressed to be honest. Dr Blue the Waterford fan told me at one of the supercup games that Rennie was the signing.... he reckoned that Kirby only produces for the big games, whereas Rennie will produce week in, week out. He shows a lot of potential, but I won't judge him on the big games. He needs to do the business against the clubs that we need to beat as well. If he plays well against the likes of Bray, Dundalk, Mons and Galway as well as in the big games I'd be happier with him.

oh how even the wise get it wrong eh Macy ;)
i'm sure there are loads of other gems there as well from all of us
Yeah, Dr Blue got it so wrong... ;)
Not sure Kirby was that great first season iirc. Rennie had the talent to be great, just the attitude and then his "performance" in the playoff
i'd love to have a back four to talk about:D
AN Other AN Other.... it will never fit in a "we all dream of a team of AN Others"
Well any sign of a back four?
well 4 played at the back but who knows if they'll be there come the first weekend on March. Nice to see you back in Town land 12th !!!
1000 posts !!!!!
I know how you feel i got to none.
