Chambers scored a very good goal last night too.
'Keeper beaten at the near post, though - naughty.
Anyone else discovered this on their European travels?
At the game in Sofia, we were charged 30 leva (€15). The CSKA fans opposite us were charged 4 leva (€2).
Now I know the clubs set their own prices for the games, but this just doesn't seem right at all.
We're charging £20 in on Thursday and, IMO, we should charge the CSKA in the same way as they charged us (7.5 times the price of a normal ticket), making that £150 a pop for CSKA fans. If they've travelled from Bulgaria, they'll more than likely pay it.
We paid €5 in Albania, rumours were that their fans were being allowed in free. Although I met a Vllaznia fan and they paid the equivalent of €4 in their money.
I think Villareal did the same with Man Utd fans from recollection they charged something like 60 quid a ticket to the away fans and somewhere around 25 to home fans.
Bohs did the same with Sligo last night; E20 in for Sligo fans and E15 in for B...
I've said too much...
Happened to Derry City in '03 away to Apoel Nicosia as well when we were charged five times what they paid.
Pretty sure that clubs aren't allowed to charge over the odd after complaints to uefa about fans being ripped off.
This text appears on uefa's FAQs
The price of tickets for supporters of the visiting club may not exceed the price of tickets of a comparable quality that are sold to supporters of the home club.

It seems it used to appear in the CL regulations, but the paragraph where it appeared previously now refers to other regulations.

Pats game isn't on Russian TV. Their fans tell us it might be picked up today but its not likely. It looks like our game, an the Derry game are the only 2 not on tv....
Bohs must be sick ...... Salsburg are into Round 4 after last night game ......
Stephen Kenny's team talk has just been written:
Sofia chairman predicts Derry wipeout at the Brandywell (Independent.ie)
Quote:
THE confident chairman of CSKA Sofia has predicted that the Bulgarian side will score "two or three goals" in tomorrow's Europa League second-leg meeting with Derry City at the Brandywell.
Are there many Pats fans travelling to Russia today?
There's 3 with the team. About 15/16 in total. Rough cost was between €1,000 and €1,200 for most but the biggest factor was having 1 working day to get visa application into Russian embassy in time. Pretty much anyone who had to talk it over with family was out (not to mention the 120 odd that were in malta struggling to get more time off work in peak periods)
Ah right, I see. Fingers crossed the job is finished out there and the next round is a lot closer to home then.
There will be as live text updates from St Pat's v Krylya Sovetov tomorrow

Should be online from 6.45ish......
For any other L.O.I. fans thinking about coming up for the game the Derry City office have sold out of tickets for the game although a few local ticket outlets may still have some left.
Apparently a mini-bus and some carloads of CSKA fans have made there way to Derry across Europe for the game, while some people wouldn't cross the street to watch a L.O.I. team play.
