has anyone a final score from Cooke Park?
remarkable achievement for the club alright, were they on the pitch at the one time?
Clonmel Celtic 6-0 Old Bridge
a decent game of football, but i find it hard to believe that no players from limerick are good enough to be on that team or squad....fair play to the saints lads there are pick and then they play but in all fairness there has to other players good enough as well,,,this is not a dig at saint before ye start hammering me
word on the street or should i say pub lastnight is that eddie(farmer) jones resigned from saints on sunday as chairman, any one know if this is true or what happened
Thought Town played really well yesterday but then gave away a sloppy goal just on half time. Should have scored at start of second half with McSherry and Levi Whelan all going close. Cashel keeper did pull off a number of great saves. Then Cashel got a 2nd before a brilliant free kick from Adam McSharry. The Old Bridge MJC result aprt, Town going along nicely. They arent world beaters but they are starting to gel. My only concern is the concession of sloppy goals again. A clean sheet would be nice.
there was alot of waffle talked last night qwerty haha. wel done to st michaels b on winning the shield final v tipp town yesterday a decent game with both sides missing early chances once saints took the lead they never really looked back. special mention to brian lowry of st michaels who earlier taht morning played for arravale rovers in their victory over moyle rovers in the county football championship and came back and put in a sterling display in the soccer match, ( a 1st team call up cant be far away for brian). also fair play to the tipp town players and managers and officials who were in lowrys bar straight away after game was over to celebrate with saints and again came back later in the night after going for their team meal. RESPECT. dont think you would see that happening anywhere else in the country this indeed is a unique derby where there are lots of friends on both sides and a great night was had :)
would agree qwerty but i think alot of the top players in limerick would have played pro or semi pro with limerick fc at some stage which would rule them out of playing amateur for ireland there are a few guys from limerick on the irish junior team where the rules are different.
Well said fella enough room for both clubs in the town !
But fair play to chalkie and skinner for going with the young lads , easiest thing in the world would have to play half the 1st team but I think all saint supporters have seen the next generation of players coming through 3/4 of the panel were under 22 yesterday

credit to the management for not loading the team. Especially with final being on so early in the season, the option was there. Difference between two evenly matched teams was in the final third. Darren Stokes and Packie Farrell worked incredibly hard and linked up very well. Tipp town fc im sure will be dissappointed but will kick on from here in the other competitions
