Scored again today v Blackburn.

What's happening?
He is changing into a prolific goalscorer!! :D
(1997 last time he scored two!!)
Up the Duff
BBC
Fulham goal: Well, Damien Duff's enjoying a rollocking good afternoon against the team that used to pay his wages. Fulham's build-up down their right is patient and well-executed, and when Moussa Dembele feeds Duff outside the box on the right, he cuts in and fizzes a 20-yard drive low past Paul Robinson. Good hit, son.
A 20 yard drive according to the BBC website. Can someone please keep him safe for the next 3 weeks?
Fulham got a peno, could have been a hat trick for Duff if they let him take it
but Zamora took it and scored.
For fup sake Bobby.
Pity he didn't give it to our Damo.

Back in training today which is great news.

Don't shoot the messenger but Duff isn't playing today and is on the injured list with no return date.
Achilles Tendinopathy
from http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/foot...em/9462364.stm
also, from the same page, I didn't know thisQuote:
Fulham are again expected to be without Damien Duff, who is still troubled by an Achilles injury.
Quote:
Damien Duff is one goal away from scoring 50 in the Premier League. He would become the third Irishman to reach this milestone after Robbie Keane and Niall Quinn.
Duff out for the rest of the season and therefore misses the Macedonia game.
http://www.independent.ie/sport/socc...n-2638010.html
This is horrible. Hopefully Macedonia have some injuries to rival us missing Duff, Dunne, and whoever gets hurt playing Scotland..
Scored to put Fulham 1-0 up in their Europa League tie.
From yahoo sports.....
I love it when Duffer blasts goals in....Quote:
GOAL!!!!! DUFF BREAKS THE DEADLOCK! A slick move begins with Davies out on the left, with Zamora and then Davies laying the ball off for the onrushing Duff, who blasts a low drive into the far corner of the net!
He was our best player last night , looked back to full fitness and ran for 90 mins. The Pharoahs (get it?) were on a par with Ballina Town though.
Just heard on 5 Live - Duff doesn't play for Fulham today due to 'personal and private reasons'. Sounds worrying, hope things are OK for Damien.
IS someone sick/dead related to him?
Its both an indictment and a tribute to the lad that this thread has so few posts, (quick comparison, D Gibson below has twice as many)
Without hyperbole, Duff has been one of the best players to ever don a green shirt.
Hope 'private and personal' is nothing too serious. Strange thing to release. Why not just say 'calf strain' and get over it.
duff seems to be in the fulham squad for tonight's europa league match.
Starting along with Kelly
Played the whole match. Almost scored but Weesels made the save.
On the subs bench today against QPR
Duffer hauled off in the 33rd minute at Twente. Didn't seem to be too injured, maybe a slight limp in his left leg as he left the pitch, but the expression on his face seemed to more upset he was being taken off (could be upset at the injury). Wasn't paying too much attention to the match but it didn't seem he was too involved. Kelly is starting at right back as well.
I heard recurrence of the calf injury that kept him out of last week's draw with Chelsea (? Arsenal? I forget.)
Duffer's a nailed on start for Fulham, surely? I'd be amazed if they let him go.
Martin Jol, the Fulham manager, last night revealed Damien Duff is set to miss Monday night's Premier League game with Liverpool after he limped off during Fulham's Europa League defeat to FC Twente.
Fulham knew three points in the Netherlands would guarantee qualification for the last 32, but left empty-handed after substitute Marc Janko stabbed home from close range late on. Andy Johnson was sent off in stoppage time for a second booking, while injuries to Duff and Mousa Dembélé compounded a bad evening for the west Londoners.
"Duff has [suffered a recurrence] of the old problem with his calf injury that kept him out for two weeks," Jol said. "He came back and had the same problem, but hopefully Dembélé is fine. Damien could be a doubt but I expect Mousa to play and Clint [Dempsey] could return."
On his side's performance against one of his old clubs, Jol added: "It could have been a nice game. They have got a good team and they score goals. Last Sunday was the first time in a while they had not scored a goal [they drew 0-0 with Vitesse Arnhem] so it would have been only the second time in about 42 games they hadn't scored.
"That would have been good, although one point would not have been ideal. We need to win the last game, anyway, but the goal was disappointing."
The defeat, coupled with Wisla Krakow's win at Odense, means Fulham must beat the latter in two weeks to be sure of qualification. Johnson's red card will see him miss that game and Jol admitted the striker's absence is far from ideal.
"It was probably not what you want, a player sent off in the final minutes out of frustration," he said. "It was a second booking, and he knew that he was booked."
FC Twente (4-3-3): Mihailov; Rosales, Wisgerhof, Douglas, Tiendalli; Brama, Fer (John, h-t), Landzaat; Bajrami, De Jong, Chadli (Janko, 79). Substitutes not used Marsman (gk), Cornelisse, Bengtsson, Buysse, Gouriye.
Fulham (4-4-2): Schwarzer; Kelly, Hughes, Hangeland, Riise; Dembélé (Kasami, 83), Murphy, Etuhu, Duff (Frei, 34); Johnson, Zamora (Orlando Sa, 87). Substitutes not used Etheridge (gk), Senderos, Gecov, Briggs

Didn't see the game, but Duff getting a bit of slack from a Fulham fan on the BBC live updates page after Fulham conceded a last minute equaliser against Odense in the Europa League to dump them out of the competition.
Duff came on for the last 20 minutes or so of the game, replacing Clint Dempsey.Quote:

Yea I thought one of the players missed a pass.
The result was a sickener for Fulham, dying second of the match and out of the blue.
Can't really blame anyone, it was just a killer of a long cross.

I think that just missed the Duff incident, I can't recall it clearly.
I know he was injured a bit recently but not getting into a very average Fulham team these days. has to be a worry for us
Jol has been playing Ruiz (sp) instead of Duff in league games lately. However I'm not sure how long Jol will last there.
Duffer is getting on, can probably do with a bit of a rest.
Jol is a clueless manager.
I imagine Duff will be brought back for the next game. Ruiz is a good player but Duff does the defensive work and can hold onto the ball, two things Fulham failed miserably at yesterday.
Goal for Duff against Blackburn.
Tweet from Damien a few minutes ago: 'Just got an interesting phone call #decisions'.
Possible move presumably.
That account is definitely fake.
It does spend a lot of time discussing 24, but then I like 24....
was it from DamienDuff16?
It's more than likely a fake. Whoever it is does spend a lot of time talking about duff and Ireland, but there's also this: https://twitter.com/#!/DamienDuff16/...16263746666496
