1500, 1000 and 700 all in for the Bray-Shels game - anyone to reckon which is best? Going to go with 1000 for now as a mid-point.

My guess for Dundalk V Mons last night was 1,500. Waiting for others at the game to agree/disagree
Some figures we wont argue over, is 45 pts for us now and 3 clear of Rovers who visit in 2 weeks time, now that will be a massive crowd.
hope to see all you premier clubs next year !!
Never got around to an update during the week... sorry! :o
Post away this weekend's figures and I'll have something up on Monday or Tuesday.
Woulda said more like 1,500 in Oriel last night. There was more than 1050 kids my way when I went to get chips at half-time!
They may not have counted the hop-along and her son either....
I thought there was barely a hundred at it. Our away support seems to dropped off considerably lately, there was far less at the Kildare and Bohs games than I expected, and not many are expected to go to Finn Harps next week. :(Quote:

There was at least 300 at Monaghan and over half were Rovers, we had more than Bohs at the first game and a respectable showing at the second.
And wait until you see the away following at Athlone for the cup game. Mind you, I'm sure you'll still find something to moan about.

Away games, WAR. :rolleyes:Quote:

The home support is holding up well, but I was surprised at the low crowds for our visits to Bohs, and especially Kildare. Given the derby nature of both games, I expected far bigger crowds at the games than there were. The numbers going to Finn Harps are also expected to be way down on the usual, work commitments accepted.
I've no problem taking any figure in the Star to be ******. It's why we started this thread in the first place.
750 at UCD-Pat's tonight.
about 250 at the Athlone vs Kilkenny. The worst 3-0 match I have ever seen
From reading mypost, it's clear that I wasn't slagging off our fans that go. But, you didn't read it. :oQuote:

About 450 at Harps V Cobh last evening.
about 400 in kildare last night - but thats only a guess, no idea what the place holds
Big crowd last night 2,585
looks like saturdays work then!!!
Ya great crowd, and should be more for the Cork game on Tuesday...hopefully.
How many Bohs fans were there because i couldnt see from where i was sitting.
Was exoecting them to sing for the whole game as they came the whole way from Dublin, but they were outsung by the home fans, which in the Showgrounds is a disgrace.
1300 Shels v Longford.
I'd say about 900 at Waterford United v Bray Wanderers Friday night to see the Blues first home league win of the season:) .
Around 600-700 at Harps Cobh last night
Absolutel nonsense. I can prove that I heard 2,100 on radio as the absolute indisputable crowd figure for this match. I think you have an ulterior motive in reducing Waterford's average crowd firgure for this season and demand that you listen to my raving over any one else.
What's the source?Quote:

so I stand corrected - I must of been seeing doubles:D :D
as for the shamrocks game today, on the srfcforum it says: "Don't know the exact crowd figure but I would guess at about 800.
"
In our league, a game where both grounds are within an hour of each other is considered to be a local derby.Quote:

Mons may well be our closest game, but i can guarantee there were less than 20 mons fans at the game.
The only real derby we have is drogs, with rovers and the wonderful fans from derry a close joint 2nd in 'derby style' if not proximity. Both can take up to 500 with them, oriel was always a favourite for hoops fans for some reason, maybe its the smell of the hops from the nearby harp lager brewery !!
Derry fans have a long relationship with dundalk.
