Only 600?, that's very poor. We really should be getting into 4 figures.
If this thread can't get the amount of "Disappointing" posts to a decent level, it should be expelled from the forum. Or at least moved into a lesser sub-forum.
285 at Waterford United v Cobh Ramblers in the pouring rain at the RSC for last home game of the season last Friday.
Will Derry bring as many/less/more fans to the cup final than Shamrock Rovers? Whatcha'all reckon?
...Than Shamrock Rovers 'would have' obviously.
Derry will bring around 10,000 again. The FAI cup final versus Shamrock rovers in 2003 did we bring less and that was because it was in Tolka. That time we brought 6,000 as we got the extra tickets that rovers couldn't sell.
The Shels final in '07 when Shels fans didn't turn up we brought 7,000+ and same as the Bohs game in the RDS
edit: Hopefully we might bring more as our last 3 finals have been humdingers and some locals were sorry they didn't go.
Tickets are good value in general but for Derry they are more so £8 is a easy sell for a cup final or £16-17 for Premium level, id expect 6k or so for Pats & 3/4 k in neutrals should be a decent attendance.
There was barely 6,000 at that tolka final in total, never mind 6,000 from Derry...
I meant the 2nd final of 2002. Typo ;)
That was the final of fire if I remember correctly, didn't a floodlight catch fire.Quote:

Don't think columbo is needed to connect the dots.Quote:
yip, just in front of the Rover fans
Was it that many it was all lower tiers with very little behind the goals, We were on one side & Longford fans the other wouldn't have thought the lower tiers in the old Lansdowne held that many.
I had a figure of around 13,000 in my head, wiki says 12,000 so somewhere around that size.
Purely speculative I know but how many fans could each of the 5 Dublin clubs bring to a final that they were appearing in, say against a (non major rival) club like Derry?
Saints 5-6 k
Bohs 5-6k
$hels 1k
UCD 10 people
Rovers 100,000 tickets sold on lottery.
Shels would bring around the same as Pats, they had 4,000 plus at the 2011 final.
Don't know about 4k they had a decent turnout in the small end of the aviva, the majority was Sligo and neutrals.
Do Shels still have a hold fan-wise around the Ringsend area?
