Something weird went on there. He had played for Oldhams 1st team prior to that

As far as I know Vaughan is a fairly small, lightweight lad at this point. So I think the manager maybe felt he wasn't best suited to a scrap at the wrong end of the National League, which is where Oldham found themselves. I think he was probably just at the wrong club in general for the kind of player he is, he's probably better suited to being in an academy setup with a bigger team at this point. Would be great to see him get a few runs out in the Championship.

Nice to see caden mcloughlin back in he didn't seem to be as involved as others over the last while. Joe o brien has come back well from his acl and always looks very accomplished footballer.

Ronnie McGrath is another who is pretty highly rated based on what I’ve read in the last couple of years. Although I thought he was an attacker.
McGrath was named as a midfielder in a squad last year

Walsall Head Coach Mat Sadler thinks they "have a real player on their hands" in Ronan Maher and may loan out the 18 year-old to ensure he gets game time before Christmas.

A nice article about Newcastle's Reece Byrne in the Evening Chronicle. At 6' 5" high crosses shouldn't be a problem for him!

Might be good for a, Blankety Blank.
I see this finished 1-1. Anyone watch or share scorers, performance etc?
Mark O'Mahony scored, seems to be having a good start to the season. See someone mentioning that Sean Moore who played LB linked up well with Trent Kone Doherty on the LHS. We were supposedly the more dominant side and Bosnia's goal came from outside the box (surprise surprise).
O'Mahony's goal was a header from a cross on the right. Ball was recycled after a corner.
Equaliser came from a shot from outside the box, from the left. I thought the keeper got a hand to it, but it went in anyway.
The stream was terrible, there's a chance it was recorded on an actual potato.
Cheers lads. And thank you to the person who brought the potato.
Will be interesting to see if Frazer from Wolves gets a call. Hes one of those that Im not 100% is ours
Our qualifiers aren't until November, so it's possible he does sit one out, if he's involved with wolves' first team
England open their under 19 campaign next week against Wales, Austria, and Montenegro, so their squad should be named soon.
I've never heard anything to suggest Frazer not ours, but he hasnt been involved a huge amount, Just one to watch
Scotland named their U19 squad on Tuesday

Goalkeepers: Conor Walsh (Sligo Rovers), Andrew Wogan (Drogheda United)
Defenders: Daniel Babb (UCD), Luke Browne (Shelbourne, on loan from Wexford), James Crawford (Wexford), Jesse Dempsey (UCD), Cathal Heffernan (Newcastle United), Luke O’Regan (UCD), Lewis Temple (Longford Town, on loan from Shelbourne), Freddie Turley (Shamrock Rovers),
Midfielders: Romeo Akachukwu (Waterford), Darius Lipsiuc (St. Patrick’s Athletic), Joe O’Brien-Whitmarsh (Cork City), James McManus (Bohemians), Senan Mullen (Dundalk), Adam Murphy (St. Patrick’s Athletic)
Forwards: Thomas Bloxham (Blackburn Rovers), Warren Davis (Drogheda United), Trent Kone-Doherty (Liverpool), Caden McLoughlin (CD Roda, on loan from Villarreal), Sean Moore (West Ham United), Mark O’Mahony (Brighton & Hove Albion), Franco Umeh (Crystal Palace)
A lot of decent players not involved Fraser, Zefi, McConnell, Gibbard, Ferizaj, mcalliney, Grogan, McGrath. Thought also that Corey O’Sullivan and Jake Grante could be involved. Pretty sure Zefi is injured but not sure about the rest.
Saying that, I’ve never consciously seen Jesse Dempsey, Luke O’Regan, James Crawford or Warren Davis play. So maybe they’re simply ahead on merit.
Beat Scotland 2-0 in the first game. Umeh's first goal is a cracker and has started the U21 season in great form (4G,1A) for Palace.
Also great to see O'Mahony be one to assist both goals. A criticism of his was his all round game wasn't good enough and the move to Brighton has hopefully changed that big time. He's started the season in great form too (7G,3A). Hopefully Brighton draw a lower league opponent in the FA Cup. Might see O'Mahony make the match day squad.
Doesn't turn 18 until next June according to the independent so he can't go to the UK until then
Given the link between Fleetwood and Waterford I can see him moving there once he turns 18. Get half a season playing PD here before moving to Fleetwood in the summer.
Rory Finneran played for the first hour of Blackburn Rovers U-21s win (4-1) v Sparta Praha U-21s on Thursday night. Tom Bloxham was an unused sub.

Why Como? Assume they're offering a route to the first team? I thought this lad had a wealth of interest and the names touted, even if partially true, were not Como
If an Irish player is going to move to Italy, I'd much rather see them go to Como than wasting their time at the likes of Milan or Roma.
Yes, I agree. But he doesn't have to go to Italy.
