Any good of a finisher?

That's why he's on trial I guess - we get to see if he's any good and he gets an idea of what Helsinki about moving here. Everyone wins.
Sweede lord almighty, I think taking the p!ss out of the Scandinavian needs to Finnish now. His reception has already been Baltic.
It was only intended as an icebreaker but there snow way the guy will stick around if this is how he'll be treated. Who knows, I hyypiä right if he's not any good.
The off season eh?
March can't come too soon for us all.
Dan Murray about to sign for Cork City?
looks like hes signed - waiting on confirmation - today is a great day
That might be Robbie Waters....former Cork City Youth Prospect. He would have left us when Tommy C (not the comedian but also a clown) was busy ruining the club. Looked a talent at the time, but it was a difficult step up then (Eoin Forde, Wille Heffernan, Timmy Kiely, etc all struggled a bit). He was with UCC so hopefully he's developed well and will get a deal.
player signing being announced at Turners Cross tomorrow morning.
I love Dan Murray, hes my all time favourite Cork City player and I was afraid he wouldn't return and it would ruin his City legacy, but at the same time I don't know if this is the best way to allocate our budget. I wonder is the money that was allocated for Daryl Kavanagh being transferred to Dan.
We still need a striker and a winger, ideally first choice players
Ye seem to have plenty of defenders now. I take it ye aren't hanging onto Derek O Brien? Daryl Horgan and Davin O Neill did decent jobs for ye on the wing anytime I saw ye last season. I know the premier is a different kettle of fish but against the top teams they seemed to stand out also.
Kevin Williamson from ATFC to Bohs or Monaghan according to the local paper today. Though he was still training with us tonight.
I think he would be huge along side some of our younger players, Spillane, Kavanagh, Turner and Dunleavey could learn a lot from him.
Huge buzz around this signing too, might get the city excited a little bit.
Theres been literally no talk around Derek that I've heard, I'd gladly have him back as an option off the bench if he'd play for those sort of wages.
I'd say as things stand our starting wingers are Daryl and Ian Turner. Davin is wasted on the wing and needs to play through the middle. Ideally though wed get in someone better. Someone quick to complement Graham, but if its Davin and Graham I won't lose any sleep.

Sligo Rovers Football Club held their Annual General Meeting in the Clarion Hotel last night where the club’s accounts for 2011 were presented and a new management committee was elected.
It was one of the biggest attendances at an AGM in recent memory with chairman Michael Toolan saying that it was a great sign of the progress made at the club.
Outgoing treasure Vincent Nally made a presentation on the audited accounts to the club’s members in which a profit of just under €60,000 was recorded.
The improvements to the The Showgrounds in 2011 were commended. Toolan said that hosting the third round Europa League game was a wonderful occasion for the club and that the financial outlay on ground works was a credit to everyone.
Vincent Nally, Loman Gallagher and vice-chairman Tony Quinn resigned from the committee with Noel Kennedy and Rory Houston elected.
Appointments in the new committee will be made within the next week. A further meeting to develop the club and The Showgrounds will be held in March.
I saw him whenever Shamrock Rovers were on telly, and his reading of the game and coordination are miles ahead of most other defenders in the LOI; pace was never his strong point, he came to us as a young fella and even then he was slow and looked awkward on the ball.

Mystic Meg predicts that Sligo will spend a fortune on wages and bore their way to a cup final again this year
2nd best 4 life.
We will have to see adam. And I dont know why you keep having a go at Sligo Rovers. Who I support has nothing to do with my opinion on Dan.
Great signing for Cork. His reading of the game, organisation and leadership will be very valuable to a newly promoted side finding it's feet in the Premier Division.
Gutted that we didn't at least try to sign Dan for the craic.
Came along too late. :(
Derek O'Brien to Tralee.
Absolutely delighted to have Dan back. My favourite player ever. The experience and passion he'll bring will be a huge asset to us.
Imagine one of the other centre halves might end up on loan now.
Welcome home captain!

It's good to see Cherrie training with us and it would be even better if he signs.
Don't know much about the other lads. Mourtney looks like he is as good as signed and from what I heard is a good player. His team mate Ger Hanley move to us was stopped due to Mervues compensation demands.
Colin Finan is a Dundalk local, he made his debut for us as a 16 year old, doesn't seem to have done much football wise since.
Paul Walsh lives and works in Dundalk.
