Sweating on a few players at the moment, hopefully all will be fine for Sunday.
here from good sources u've done a u-turn on ur proposed return to mayo soccer biffo, instead returning to the club gaa for another year, hope ye have a better year than last year:D
from what im hearing through the grapevine, some big changes happening in the ballinrobe team, heres hoping we can get promoted and start beating these ''Premiership'' Wannabies who think their untouchable!
well said juan pablo, and a club like ballinrobe can list an awful lot in the last few years!!!!!!:D
when ballinrobe in previous seasons has managed to field a full strength team, theirs very few teams who have found it easy to break them down, rumours about players making a return if ballinrobe make the right decisions and form a structured training session and most importantly the commintment from the players which i have no doubt this season they will, the days of ballinrobe being called a Pub Team will be officially over!!
Wow, happy new year all. Looks like I missed a lot over the last few weeks.
Ballinrobe joining the professional ranks?
Mayo unlucky in Terryland Park?
Another U21 meeting?
Injuries in Westport?
Let me say I hope Westport & Ballyheane can be at full strenght at the week-end.
Hard luck to Mayo in the Oscar Traynor.
Remind me what horse I had in the Manulla race night?
Welcome back Manfred we miss your input looks like an interesting week aheadQuote:

they will be all fit in westport sunday.
And the U-21 is back on track forward thinking, our clubs finally got there hearing and El duce retreated like Custer on his last stand' well done to D Benson for his comonsense approch.
he of course is the farther of the house.and as;) steady as arock El duce should take stock on how to get poeple on his side.
Ill play if i get the chance, can't be switchin codes every second year. wish ballinrobe all the best though, hope the new year is a successful oneQuote:

At the end of the day I suppose it is worth another try but the basic truth is that if the clubs are not interested then it is a dead duck !!!.
I'm afraid all the indications so far are that the clubs do not care, In fact I would like to know who does actually care - outside of paid FAI employees that is, who have a vested interest in promoting their own goals.
I'm back as well. Things were getting a bit hairy there for a while, too many trips to the chippy over the festive period brought a halt to my gallop back to the forum.
Did I hear someone say that we're gone semi-pro? You're having a laugh mate. We have a decent set of coaches and managers who try to do a little bit extra off the field so we gain an extra yard on it. Hardly the same as being paid for the job and getting a car or whatever Dykesy is on.
On the injury front I think we'll be ok, there's maybe a few niggly ones but every team has that.
Best of Luck to our friends in the 'Heane this Sunday, should be a cracking game.
I'm off to plan how to slip into Celtic Park for the Carew game next weekend (if it's on). What a belter of a tie that will be!
Is Jeremy Dee the new manager of Ballinrobe Town AFC?
did ya ever meet them on a mondayQuote:

And I think you have started a good little debate. Lets list the achivments of managers/coaches of Mayo junior teams.
Its always good to start at the top;
Westport (P.Burns, K.Cusack) F.A.I. Junior Cup, Super League.
Celtic (G.Dykes)
B'Heane
And so on, and lets have a little comparison, and remember, not club achivments, but manager achivments. Include divisional titles & divisional cups,(coaching qualifications), and then, as we have so much insider info, who gets paid and who's managing for fun & football.
Of course we cant accept loose, unbacked statments like the one above, but it should be an interesting discussion!
could someone tell me is it possible to book the astro turf in castlebar or ballyheane for training or are they booked out at the moment for the inter firms leagues,we have started up a new club in south mayo and find it impossible to train on our pitch at the moment
:ball: ring jeremy dee at milebush....he"s the one to talk to?Quote:

With all the talking about Pat "Il Duce" Quigley on the site, do you not think that you might as well put your words into action for the AGM? You enjoy slagging him on the site, you might as well be slagging him off face to face. If Mr Quigley remains in power and you still complain about him in six months time, my message to you then would be that you had your chance and blew it. Tread carefully over the next few weeks if you would like to see a power change on the top table. Any nomination must be sent to the secretary of the Mayo League.
Well done the Port, Heane and Celts. 3 very good victories against tough opposition
I think the reference to J.D. is a bit over the top. In fact I remember him as a 'pain in the posterior' forward who scored quite a handful of goals. He was always moaning but he knew where the goal was. As regards his Managerial achievements, I think his enthusiam for the game is undoubted and he did take the Mayo job when nobody else wanted it and it was unpaid as well as far as I can remember. So lay off him please and personal attacks are unneccessary here as most people know the authors by now even El Duce (who doesn't read this by the way) admitted as much at the Maastrict meeting the other night.
hi lads
can any of ye tell me does castlebar having indoor soccer hall to reant and if so would ye know a number to contact

Congrats to Westport and Ballyheane on yestarday results, and also to Castlebar Celtic in the Connacht Cup,hopefully they win next weekend against Carew Park but thats going to one hell of a game

Manfred you are going to have to calm down & relax or you will give yourself a coronary. If renovater is seen to be grinding an axe on behalf of somebody else, you seem to be blindly promoting the league and I thought the vatican were the only infalable organisation. Any way please could we get back on track to footballing matters as this spat, as fun as it is to observe, might just be getting out of hand and ever so predictable. P.S. Manfred hows the new job going.
Made the last 8 playing the council next tough game :)Quote:

Expecting big crowd in Celtic Park next week.
Do'nt forget Mayo V Clare Women's inter league in Milebush as an alternative at 1.30pm
what match is on in celtic park this week??when does the season kick off officially??who are the main contenders to win the premier division this season, reckon crossmolina will do well in the super league, big rush on to finish the changing rooms, roof is already on.
what if the changing rooms are not completed??isnt their a rule that all newly promoted clubs in the super league must have changing rooms finished b4 the season??i take it gotribe your from crossmolina??
indeed i am from cross, and the dressing rooms will be up on time for the coming season!!
Ya hear the rush is on at crossmolina alright, won't be playing any super league games unless their new facilities finished in time!is it true their dressing rooms taken a long time to construct, heard there at it for over two years?they'll be coming straight back down i think along with Ballyglass, both teams really didn't show any real consistency or super league quality in their seasons last year, think cross need a Ciaran Mac or Moylesy in their ranks to stand any real chance but sure suppose ya never know:DCastlebar Celtic entertaining Carew Park at Celtic park, should be a cracker!!!there the boys that Westport played last yearQuote:
