Athlone i was told he was talking to last night, But Dundalk has very vivid rumour mill!

Not sure why either of the Rovers would be after him.
A team looking to challenge for the title won't be interested in Griffin. He has ability but his attitude and off field indiscretions negate that ability.
It's not too late for Marc Griffin but he is on borrowed time. He showed a lot of promise and scored bags of goals at youth level before bursting onto the scene in the latter part of the 2011 season. A wasted season in 2012 where his attitude was deplorable - to the casual observer the cracks got papered over by that fantastic goal of the season against Drogheda. 2013 in Derry seems to have been another waste of time for both player and club.
He is still only 22 but his attitude in the season ahead will determine whether his future lies in junior football or as a professional.
I see he scored two for the PFAI team today also. Can see Griffin ending up with Drogheda or Athlone.
Would love to see him sign with us. We are still a few signings off having a squad capable of staying up.
PFAI team that beat Cherry Orchard today.

Any word on whether Robbie Benson has found a club yet? Would love to have him back at Athlone.
Did Ollie Cahill just learn joint writing? FFS.
Paul Andrews signed for drogs
@PFAIOfficial: Joe Coll,ex Man Utd keeper has replaced Gabi Sava on the PFAI squad that travels to Oslo tomorrow for @FIFPro winter tournament.
Coll is from Donegal, there was a good deal of excitement in the local media up there when he first went over to Man Utd. Very few Irish lads are making it with the big clubs in England these days. However many players have had good professional careers after being let go by big clubs like utd. I remember watching Neil Lennon a few times at Crewe Alex the season after he was let go by Man City for example.
Coll was with Derry last season. Wasn't even second choice keeper. If his goalkeeping ability was half as good as his ego you'd have a world class keeper. Man Utd destroyed him. He was playing Donegal League last I heard. Wouldn't be worth signing for any LOI club.
Why have the PFAI him down as Man U if he was last with Derry and then playing in Donegal League? A bit miss leading if you ask me.

Suppose it makes him look more attractive to prospective clubs?
Jason Byrne back to Bohs with added horrific pun on the Bohs website:

Unmentionables are doomed.
.....would be a lot more concerned if he wasn't trying to improve his already impressive scoring record  getting on a bit now but what I saw of him last season he still had that strikers instinct ( right place right time). Double figures in goals or there about from Jayo would be a massive boost for Bohs
So far only Mulroy, Waters and Jayo have signed elsewhere... I believe Quigley is not signing back because of work. But otherwise we havent lost anyone but then again we havent signed anyone either!! No word from the club at all and there are a lot of rumours doing the rounds - I wont mention any in case I get in trouble for posting!!!
But i do wish the club would release a statement!!!!
Dempsey to retire unless he gets a good money offer. All in todays daily star
Daniel O'Reilly is this the same player that used to play for us under Tony Cousins two -three yrs back?
Yeh i think it is. Was in our under 19 squad too. Very very quick player and a decent goalscorer.
Rumour on Facebook Richie Towell is going back to the UK?
Anybody know if he has a release clause in his new contract? You'd assume Dundalk tied him up to a new deal before Christmas in order to ensure they got a fee if he left.
With all the rumours about Bray doing the rounds, if they don't or can't field a team, will Longford be promoted? or Shels not relegated? probably neither but would be interesting to see what would happen
If anything was to happen, it would mean Shels reinstated in the Premier i would presume.
