Also, they've had reduced numbers in the Connacht side even since the issues regarding the closure. Stupid for any team to turn away fans of any other team (or to refuse to travel to another team for that matter).

I'm struggling to see where these attendances for Salthill and Mervue are coming from. Being down in both Mervue and Salthill this year there seems to be only away fans in Salthill and a handful of Mervue fans in Fahys Field.
I was struggling to see where 427 for the game last Friday came from but didn't comment.

It was a fairly second-string XI I think, and given season tickets didn't count and given that you really couldn't blame people in this day and age saving for Kazan/Spurs/PAOK instead, yeah, it was a fairly good crowd alright.
