They foundation work has started and supposedly concrete will be poured in the next two weeks, with the pre-casts starting to being droped in and assembled soon after that.
bhs
Derry v St Pats 2,550
No idea what was in Bray but very small maybe 700, which is a shame as they are a decent little side and deserve better.
would say less, 500
Terrible crowd in Bray tonight. No more than about 600 with at least 50-75 of them being Rovers fans.
I would say about 500 at most at Bray match tonight. It's well down on recent games.
Similar crowd at the Rovers - Dundalk game as there was at the Drogs game, probably more as the singing section was more crowded. I'd say 3,100.
How many was at Dalymount last night for Bohs vs Galway Utd?Any guesses at least?
Next Friday nights game in Terryland could have our smallest crowd ever for a LOI game. The Stunning are playing in the Docks closing down the VOR .Absolute madness that we are even trying to compete with it and we dont have another home game for nearly a month
Its possible to go to both.Im going to Terryland then going in around the docks after.Going to see Aslan tomorrow night in there aswell.
I cant figure out how we were getting crowds of nearly 2000 in the first division when we were playing hoof ball and now we are fifth in the premier and playing decent stuff and not getting past the 1000 mark.
Eamo, fifth in the table does not count in terms of run of the mill punters - your not challenging the top, and not in a scrap at the bottom. Longford Town spent 8 seasons in the top flight, finishing 4th 5th and 6th under Matthews, and winning cups, playing setanta cup and Europe (badly!), and the crowds melted away. Only in Irish soccer can success one season automatically mean that gates the following season will fall!
I think he's talking nonsense, but then I thought that when he was leaning out the DART shouting after me. ;)
(FWIW, I think 500 is about right).
Ah right. I don't obsessively stalk people from the internet. :p
"Which way are you going?"
"The other way"
"Which way's that?"
Not the smartest tool in the kit, eh? ;)
Approx 250 at Harps v Mervue! The worst crowd in many years!
500 max at Terryland, if even that
I'd say 2600 at Pats-Bohs for a Brilliant game!
1000+ Bohs.
3133 at Cork-Rovers.
There might about just ahve been 1500 at oriel tonight, very poor Bray crowd down, 20-30 of them! Think they had 3 times that at the Cup replay last season!
Official attendence announced at Tolka was 963 I think.
Any word on how many were in the Showgrounds ? wasn't as big as our recent home crowds obviously.
1,800 was given in the press area
About 100 at Monaghan v UCD I'd guess.
693 official in Terryland
557 official attendance in Wexford
I wasnt at last nights game but I heard from 3 different sources there was just over 2,000 at it and probably 300 or so more than Sligo, which would suggest 1,700 at that game last friday.
Hard to believe our crowds are not dropping with the poor results pre last night.
Athlone Town vs Limerick FC
Official attendance 406
I would hazard a guess that there was 150 at the kildare co longford town match at most
Galway posters here have omitted to mention that the last open air concert of the Volvo Ocean Race was on at the same time as the United/Drogheda match.
