The Gerrard comparisons would seem to be spot on at this stage.
He's playing a similar role (behind the main striker), and looked quite a player this weekend.

Considering the level of abuse he regularly gets in Scotland, i would like to see him leave Scotland when he finally moves and not join Celtic for example.

McCarthy named SPL young player of the month today.
Looking more and more likely that they will stay up now. They are on a great run at the moment for a team that was bottom of the table a few months ago. I wouldn't mind if he stays there for another season either.Quote:

Thats true, he takes dog abuse but is dealing with admirably,most recently against Dundee Utd in the cup where he played a blinder by all accounts (think there is an earlier post on it). For that reason alone a move may be worthwhile but for his continued development another year with Hamilton in the SPL would be good for him. Hard matches every week, pressure to get points for survival, playing with dome other good young players such as McArthur. Obviously at some point, fairly soon, he will need to be playing and training with better quality players to improve his own game but at 18 yrs of age I think another season with hamilton would be no harm at all......Quote:
