Villa have completed the signing of Richard Dunne from Manchester City on a four-year deal.
The transfer has been finalised after the clubs agreed a fee last week and the player passed a medical.
Dunne, who has 52 caps for the Republic of Ireland, began his career at Everton before moving to City in 2000.

Hopefully he will have an impact similiar to the last Irish centre back at Villa. I mean Paul McGrath if there is any confusion.
When Paul went to Villa there was a lot of doubters but he proved them all wrong.

Agreed, Okkas gave him the run around. Some very clumsy challenges and needless frees given away near the end. Couldve given away a penalty as well. I think Dunne suffers with an Okkas type of player, small and pacey, Sledge may have been the better option to mark him.Quote:
