He's made it clear he wants out and if Norwich price him out of a move I actually hope he does kick up a stink. He's not gonna be anywhere near first choice and don't see him ahead of Ashley Barnes either for this season.
I think that's probably what'll happen alright, although there's always that element that a new manager will want to check out his new squad. The manager was quoted this week as saying "It’s nice to have him back on the pitch and I think he will be a valuable player for us. We consider Adam as an important player for us so that's why he got 30 minutes today which was important for him to get started and get back in the rhythm, nice and easy." Again, that could be playing up his transfer value, or he could really mean it.Quote:

I think it’s a good situation all round. Celtic want him. His new manager at Norwich is clearly interested in taking a look at him. Perhaps other clubs we’re not aware of are sniffing around. Worst case scenario he sticks with Norwich, does nothing first half of the season, moves to Celtic at a discount.
If he had some major success with Norwich we could see him in the Prem soon enough one way or another. I’m optimistic he’s going to have a big season wherever he ends up.

Celtic banging in the goals in the meantime. I know it's only pre-season, but it's 18 in 4 games now. 6-4 v Queens Park (I know, I know...), 4-0 v DC United, 4-3 v Man City and 4-1 v Chelsea.

I never get this argument, as if clubs are paragons of virtue, and the nasty players are out to screw them. If someone is playing garbage and on a 5 year contract, the club would be scrambling to get rid of him, have him training with the kids etc to force them out, but when a player does it, it's terrible.Quote:

Starting with defeat against a side than hasn't been at this level since 1999 isn't great either. Only one game of course, but could be a long season for Norwich.
Fee agreed with Celtic. £8.5m, potentially rising to £9.5m.
So Celtic waited this long to sign Idah because Norwich were overvaluing him and have still potentially spent £9.5M with a 15% sell on clause.
Obviously Norwich wanted considerably more than what they got
It's ironic that Celtic could probably have gotten Idah for less than £5m instead of the loan deal, before everybody could see what he could do for Celtic under Rodgers. The guy adapted so fast to what was demanded of him.
Delighted Celtic have got him. They got 2 or 3 million for Lawal who's only ever played one game for them so 8.5 for Idah is not unreasonable.
Would have him as the Celtic's second highest transfer fee according to wiki (based on the initial fee). Norwich have done well to get extra money out of Celtic, a very typical bunch of Scots. :p
