They are a big draw in the context of who Sligo could get and how popular a pastime premiership barstooling is.
They are a bigger draw than Hearts. Easily.

Yes good result for them to progress but it does not help our coefficients at all. Maybe Bohs can do better later.
Im following the league ranked close to us like we want the away teams to win these ties http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague...ght/index.html

Looking good so far in the second game 0-1 to the away team.
You'd have to prefer a draw with a more favourable chance of progression. When I hear of people talking about hoping for a "big draw" rather than getting into the next round, it just strikes me as a tad amateurish. Progression should be the primary objective if we're to get anywhere in the long-term.
If I was a Sligo fan I'd be delighted if they got Hearts. Very winnable.
i honestly think it depends Danny. I think progression is always the objective but it needs to be balanced with realism for some clubs. For Bohs, progression, though definitely the objective, could be as much a curse as a blessing. A trip to Moldova would be a poor reward for beating Ljubljana. That said, there are no "big names" in our section so progression and the chance to get a chance to play a "big name" would be the objective. I think some Pats fans would think along the same lines.
For Sligo fans - they could draw Stoke or they could draw an unknown georgian team. To me, as a fan, thats a tough call.
I'd have to say it depends as well. Either drawing a big name or else getting a draw with a good chance of progression. Getting somewhere in between isn't that great. If a win is gotten from it it's good obviously but if it's a defeat, it won't live long in the memory.
Its wins and Draws which gains Coefficient points not progressing round although one does help the other
now 1-1 in the second game (not good)
In this game we want the home team to win

ELVIS is between the sticks for Olimpija later !! Let's hope that by the end of the match he will be "all shook up" :)

It's a reason, it's not the only one. It's also a question of attitude. Our players are not on holiday when they're playing in Europe, the clubs value European games and take them very seriously. That's not the case with NI clubs, most see the games as a pre-season pis-up, and they simply refuse to change season, no matter what the benefits are.Quote:

Having said that I wouldn't mind a game with Glentoran. Easy access to North and good chance of progression -- and a bit of bite re fans.
There's always the second round for a big name. Equally playing Stoke would be great, but a nice trip to Cyprus would be delightful! Spoilt for choice really depending on what your having yourself.
Hopefully, all the LOI teams will progress, great for the league.
The video here sums up the differences in approach: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/nort...nd/8129118.stm
Does anyone have a live link to the Bohs match?
COmmentator, in the last 2mminutes, has said how dangerous Bohs are, in teh past they beat German sides......
This Slovenian side are very good.
Just asked himself - where did they get their name? Maybe from Irish gypsy people.
Such a tool ey :L they look fair handy, I'd say they'll easily bait Bohs
we look very disciplined and are holing our shape very well so far. Restricting them to long shots.
It's probably the camera angle and the empty stands but that pitch looks absolutely massive. Bohs playing well so far, putting together some good passing movements on the deck.
watching here ger - http://realtvsport.com/channel-6.php
They look good but have been reduced to mostly long shots so far

these long balls arent going to do us any favours. Got to try and hold on to it better. if we can hold to half time id be happy - theyre tightening the screw a bit now...
Lovrecic seems their main guy.
Should be 1-0 to them but the striker somehow missed an open goal. Burns turns slower than an articulated lorry.
well done Burns! :L
Can anyone else not find the game to bet on on PP?
terrible free from Killer there.
I think they will do well to get a draw here. A score draw would be a great result.
If i were a pats fan id be worried about that second goal, they will probably score 1 in Dublin.
Great stream btw.
Well it was Lisburn Distillery managed by Jimmy Brown. That particular manager lasted 3 months and i think he lost all but one game for the Whites (they drew one). Tommy Wright took over from there and somehow managed to save them from relegation. I think they were something mad like 16 points adrift from the rest of the league. :D
Linfield had one player on holiday yesterday (William Murphy) although he wouldn't have started for us plus we already had a few younger, better options on the bench.
Glentoran going into tonights game without probably their best player (Sean Ward) who's away on holiday.
Don't forget we're not full time "up here" and some guys would have commitments to their full time job. Some guys or their partners are teachers or have young kids in school. Surely they deserve a fmaily holiday if they want one?
