Hi lads, Could anyone tell me where Rock Rovers pitch is and where Rineanna Rovers pitch is in Clare. Thanks
Rock Rovers is in lees road Ennis.
Directions to Rock Rovers Lee's Road Grounds
If coming to Ennis from either the N18 Galway-Gort or N18 Limerick-Shannon directions:
Rineanna are playing on a farmers field on the back road to Newmarket-on-fergus very bad set up thats all i can say easy enough to find just travel into newmrket and follow the back road.they call it the san siro.
- Exit the N16 Ennis By-Pass when you see signs for Tulla/Ennis.
- Follow various signs for Ennis and after 2 kms turn Right at "Country Pine" furniture shop.
- Then turn Right for Galway at "Kelly's Corner" Roundabout.
- Go straight through "McDonald's" Roundabout, then turn Left immediately.
- After 1km, over the narrow bridge, turn Right at the cross.
- Entrance to Lee's Road Facility is then 300m on your left.
- Welcome to Lee's Road!
Balla 1 Fairview 4 (not sure if it ended that score)
Boro 3 Carew 2 (boro 3 up nearly blew it by all accounts)
Regional 1 Pike 0 ( watched first half pike had a few half chances but regional were playing the better ball. Regional seem to be getting stronger with every game)
any other games and any results?
boro 3 carew 2
your spot on leather boro very nearly blew a 3 goal lead carew did not turn up first half. came out second half a diff team and a header cleared off the line towards the end got yer 3 points
lads who was the ref in the regional game heard he was still drunk
aisling annacotty 0-2 mungret regional.was at this game this morning out in annacotty.mungret fully deserved the 3 pts.they battled for everything and were much hungrier than aisling on the day.think mc nicholas and the other big lad up front got the mungret goals.both played very well and were a handful for aisling defence.
there was 2 ldmc council members standing along us and they must of seen how bad he was players train hard and stay in sat nights and then having to put up with a ref like that and he gets paid ,refs will have to get graded on fitness and other things and then the top refs get the prem games,
No it didnt thankfully, Regional shaded it imo
regional just about shaded it imo.but the ref was a joke we had him out in mungret a few weeks back again and he was still drunk from the night before.this morning he was blowing for offside from the half way line and if any player said anything to him about it he just start laughing (paddy collins has a lot to answer for.)
I was handed a 2 week suspension after being reported by Mr Hourigan for abusive language shown no card on the day during the Mungret v Pike game. There was a very strong smell of drink from him and made some very very poor and dubious calls for both sides beckoned subs on to the pitch from where ever he stood on the field not checking for studs or shiguards surely against protocol if not the rules he choose to not allow the sideline on to treat a head injury!!!
All in all I believe that this ref is actually a risk to players safety.
Who ref's the ref's???
Regional deserved their win and fairplay took there chances it didnt happen for us today but we will have another crack at it next week the ref wasnt one sided he was both sided its a poor reflection on the league when a ref doesnt move outside the centre circle and blows the whistle everytime air comes from the lungs, the smell of drink doesnt wash with me because every player in all grades of football at sometime has had a few drinks the night before a match so its not the drink its just the lad isnt up too being a middle man, i think the refs need help ie linesmen its a thank less job and the abuse they put up with is unreal but at the same time some refs not all just have no interest in there own performance and thats a poor reflection on the game.
