Nice piece by Tommy Conlon in today's Sunday Independent- highlights the history of Kerry soccer, talks to the staff, management and players, but doesn't shy away from the challenges involved in taking on professional and semi-pro clubs. And personally speaking, any article which begins "Arise Fenit Samphires, and take your place among the nations of the earth" gets a whole-hearted recommendation!
Should Kerry be considering temporary seating like Wexford have for the first game if there is a high demand for the opening game?
There are still 99 stand seats available, so while the game is highly likely to sell out, trying to guess what, if any, extra capacity might be needed would be hard to gauge.
Really wouldn't be worth it for one game, as the set-up and break-down of the facility is a large part of the total cost for short-term hire.Quote:
