Cops went heavy with a good few DFC fans outside the ground.
Some were a wee bit pished but in decent enough condition to get into the ground.(i had a few drinks on board, who dosn't when travelling to a match?I was deemed ok for entry to the ground prob because i'm a an older fart)
In fairness to the Cork stewards they argued on behalf of the Dundalk lads and most of them got in before ko.
I wouldn't be anti- Gardai or anything near it but they created a bit of a situation there on Friday night that could have been avoided if common sense had prevailed for a while and if international rugby side visiting rules had been applied.:D
Anyway the few that were not getting in did eventually get in at h/t or close to it.
Athlone Town VS Cobh Ramblers 142 official.
Haha that's absolutely hilarious. No more than 60 or 70. Not a single chance
2041 for Dundalk v Pats.Awful attendance.Few people on twitter suggesting that Euro 2016 is impacting on attendances due to fans keeping cash or spent it already for beer money to watch Ireland ?
600-650 in Dalymount. 973 announced.
There seems to be different reasons put forward each home game on the drop in crowds, last night had a very low away support from Pats for a change.
However we can dress it up anyway we like, the fact still remains, Dundalk's crowds are currently down around 600 from last season and I think 2,041 v Pats is a terrible attendance with no excuses.

Every game's crowds were down at the weekend, of course the Euros didn't help but look back at the first games after the break in past years, they're always down
Euro quarter finals on this week-end which won't help attendances.
What was the attendance last night in Richmond?
Yes, I read an estimate of 1,500 in one paper on Wednesday and I think the extratime site had the same.
Considering Richmond had to be an all seating capacity for this fixture, that would have been approximately 2,500 seats and ticket pricing was more for a European tie, I think anywhere between 1,500-2,000 was a good turnout.
:loser:
Some journalists were told they wouldn't be given the attendance until after the lad doing the UEFA website had been given the figure - which is normal for these games. I'd left before it was given out - if it was at all. At least 2,000 and maybe a little more. I don't know how Extra Time came up with 1,500. Defo more than that.
Pat's always on the ball with the correct figure. Always given to us without fail for every league game.
