old keeper i agree with having the important matches on at the same time but what is the point of the above matchesQuote:

Pointless
well if you ask the mentors of the clubs who can finish 2nd 3rd or 4th they will probably disagree, and more importantly there are players who actually enjoy playing soccer and with games at the end of the season all squad members can have a run, so lets not forget the reasons for playing are varied. If teams do not want to play games that they feel are pointless they can contact the Committee or Fixtures secretary and they will most likely be accommodated. Lastly with the pressure off teams the last few games can have a great atmosphere and if the club is a strong one (as our premier clubs should be)there should be no reason not to be able to field teams.
fair enough it sounds like people want them played
but surely 6 games in 17 days is a bit much for balla

I would tend to agree but it seems they are on a roll at the moment and they might want to capitalise on that scoring 5 goals in the lawson semi without reply, But as I said if they feel they need a break they can contact the fixtures sec or the general committee.Quote:

Predictions
Hill Celtic to win, Park & Charleville to draw and play off to be won by Hill Celtic.

Transfers
heard nothing about al finucane or bennis signing
finucane is class and wud be a great addition but i've heard nothing
don't think bennis would come back to balla after his brief stint
I suppose thats true.... Wouldn't be a bad signing for any club looking for a keeper, just needs to get fit after his injuries that he's had...Will be intresting to see if he'll stay with pike or move on...Quote:
