A2Z updated... anybody know the kilmaley V Rock result?
don't know about that. avenue b are finished this week and have to wait 3 weeks to play semi. moher have big games every week to stay up, so will have a major advantage.Quote:

The Bridge scored the vital first and then second goal at key times in the first half (P. Mcevoy and then Own goal). Olympic went flat with the shock i think.
Bridge then totally knocked the wind out of Oly sails with 2 more quick goals from R. Moate and G.O'Connell... The game had everything with penalty appeals on either side and loads of banter from both sets of supporters, players and managers...Oh and mr halloran got his fair share of abuse.
in fairness to bridge celtic, the avenue a boys said they were the hardest team they had played all season. olympic are a fine team and were one of the best teams avenue b played. good for clare soccer if both go up. premier needs footballing teams not hackers or kickers.
Anyone know how Newmarket B got on against Kilkee last night? Wait let me guess, midweek game far away from Kilkee, it was called off?
well i can see it would have been played as they a good number of their b team(newmarket) at the A team game last night
well last nights game lifford newmarket draw, has really opened the door for the bridge but with bunratty and avenue after cratloe match they will be up against it to get 9 points from those games.... if they do then it should be all over.... but in fairness to clubs at the top of the premier they are really making it exciting.... if only we got proper press to highlight the closeness of the league not a couple of incoorect lines in the champion...... has the clare league seen the limerick leader which PROMOTES soccer in limerick??Quote:

A few big games tonight plasticpitch. If the bridge do not win I cannot see them being up for Sundays game. I think the draw last night was good for Avenue and the bridge but it also meant that Lifford and Newmarket remained in the hunt. Will go all the way to last fixture I think. What odds on Lifford V bridge last game???Quote:

Bunratty know how close it is and they'd love to influence the outcome
it really is a pity..in cork they have soccer updates in the echo twice a week... just last week they played the 2nd division cup final under lights at turners cross... clare league doesn't even get mentioned in the star anymore... sligo/leitrim league has a higher profile than usQuote:

Avenue: Bridge & Rineanna (H), Newtown & Moher (A)
Lifford: Bridge, Newtown (H), Rineanna & Newtown (A)
Bridge: Cratloe, Rineanna, Bunratty (H), Newtown, Lifford, Avenue (A)
Newmarket: Moher, Rineanna (H), Cratloe (A),
All very interesting really. Newmarket seem to be in the driving seat. They have the games played and points in the bag and also have 3 easier games left.
Liffords games with Newtown will be crucial. Bridge have a very tough set of games in the run-in and it will depend on their form really.
Why would they do that the paper is run unashamedly to sopport the GAA in preference to other games.Quote:

Premier
Newtown FC 1 Avenue A 2
Skinny saves penalty twice, murphy saves well from Okuru one on one,ref gives great decision on offside goal (3 players) to give Avenue the lead.
Bunratty 3 Moher 2
Bridge 0 Cratloe 0
fair play avenue.....can't believe the bridge result....game sunday v avenue is going to put one team out of it... have to fancy avenue for that match nowQuote:

I still think Newmarket are in the driving seat with the 3 games they have remaining.
Bunratty vs Moher was poor last night. It was 3-2 at half time after some good goals and calamity defending by Bunratty. Bunratty led 1-0 thru a Con Collins deflected goal and let the lead slip straight away. Davy Ryan scored a spotter but that again was cancelled thru a gift from Bunratty defence. Paul Butler scored a cracker of a free kick to give Bunratty the winner just on half time.
Moher had a great chance to steal a point late on but Johnny Daly missed from literally 2 yards... I've never seen the likes.
Moher travelled with about 18/19 players and have some giants on their team. They fought hard and will not be and easy 3 points for anyone. They could get points yet in their relegation battle...
actually there is a new clare paper starting in the coming month or two which should improve it. the coverage is poor. shocking in fact.Quote:

( avenue won 3-0) how does he do the tables. joke. there should be leagues printed every month at least and maybe double page section on all leagues. another double for schoolboys. then this wouldn't arise and coverage would improve the game. also who deems pitches playable at the start of the year, christ ye've me started now. i won't open the can of worms as in one rule for one club another for others????????????
wesport v carew is a replay by the way
In Nottingham the amateur Leagues are printed every week alongside the fixtures and goalscorers for each Division with out fail. Both teams and the ref have to confirm all results for them to be accepted.Quote:

Going against my instincts, Both Olympic teams could be in their respective playoff games!!! Are these games played on the same weekend?Quote:

Don't think there's a playoff game in the 3rd this year as 3 teams have pulled out of the second.Quote:

Generally when a lg is fully finished the playoff would take place. Of course for the prem/1st playoff to take place the premier and the 1st divions would have to be fully finished and so on down the leagues.
Lydon plays these games as soon as he gets the oppurtunity so they are not necessarliy on the same weekend.
That was fairly funny allright. Playing away & next thing ther's a scrap breaking out on the Olympic bench between one of the subs & the manager.Quote:

He's a joke.
While Olympic deserved to win the game Julian didn't do us any favours in a game which Oly will be glad they got through unscathed.
His motto is
"I won't be giving any free kicks no matter what cause I'm from Tulla & you're from Kilkishen"
Anyway best of luck to Oly B in getting promoted.
In my opinion they are the best side in Div 3 at the moment.
Was the score not Newtown 1 Manus 2 on 13/03/05??Quote:

never knew about Lifford so fairplay to them and it hasn't all gone wrong we are just way behind everyone else.if i am honest Clare soccer is at a really poor level, this includes the way it's ran and also referees.Clubs just haven't thought about the future. The Ennis clubs are waiting for this new place to open where they will rent out pitches, does anyone know anything about the Newtown/Park amalgamation. :eek:Quote:

Best two players I've seen this year.............
lifford/oldtown have the old halting site out in drumcliffe, should be ready for next year. not hard for them in view of the fact that they received a nice package to vacate our lady's pitch, sqatters rights and all that. wonder if pike and avenue have those rights. its ok for st. pats when they got the field for 1 euro off daly. in fairness to dingle his a one man band and hats off to that man for his massive effort. newmarket were the same 1 pound for the field. offer a field to any ennis team and your hand will be snapped off. down the years avenue/pike (will not include tage as they don't even own goalposts) have offered to improve pitch and were told they would be evicted if they touched it by the council. was bad enough avenue playing in ruan but how embarrising to be changing in a tayto box???????? i know that avenue have been actively seeking a pitch for the last no. of years and only 3 months ago viewed 6 acres but asking price was €250,000. not possible. in 3 years avenue will have a pitch or two with dressing rooms. avenues/pike main gripe is how are teams expected to play football in a piece of ****. pike/avenue dont even train on the main pitch, so they can keep it for games then u see muppets from kimaley, lifford, clare juniors lissycasey christ even toomevara trained on it before all-ireland semi.Quote:

clare soccer is brutal at the moment. people running it should not be biased and have other interests. they should be promoting all clubs. one goal one objective. not one rule for you and hey no problem we'll sort that out for you cous etc. take 2 steps forward then 5 back. wonder why half of clares best players fecked off to limerick, says enough?????? can someone pass this website to the clare league. it might give them an insight to soccer players who give a **** and they might learn a thing or twoQuote:
