Oji is staying in Ireland? Bad for Limerick but he's one of the better centre halves in the league and we aren't exactly blessed with them.
That can't be right. The GAA wouldn't possibly OK it.
Edit: Are they waiting on the outcome of the meeting mentioned here: http://www.independent.ie/sport/gael...-30909159.html
Playing in the Gaelic Grounds would be a disaster.
Gaelic Grounds would be worse than Thomond Park.
Would playing Bohs and Pats rule out playing in Jackman with a temporary derogation from FAI?
If the fai would allow the temporary use of jackman park how bad would it be for a while.it would be better than playing out of town anyway.
I'd be happy to go back to Jackman if it would be allowed. The pitch is bobbly, the stand is tiny, and if it rains there's always the chance you'll land flat on your back getting to the hill opposite the entrance, but at least you'd be in Limerick. But I dunno, I'd say the FAI wouldn't bend on it.
I'd snap their hands off for Jackman park as a temp option.
If they did get the go ahead for the temp use of jackman park?why not put up a temp stand.it would be the best option if the fai sanction it.dont know if the club have even looked at the option of using jackman park.surely the fai wouldnt object to its use temporarily?
Its hard to know. The fact it only has one entrance/exit is the real issue.
Could the club even afford a temp stand right now?
I've heard rumors and inklings of plans to make a second entrance before, through one of those abandoned houses behind the car park ground, but it never went beyond that, too much of a quagmire with the council to even contemplate it I suppose, those are all regen scheme buildings.
If that's the big issue, it could be worked around. Limerick have no trouble-likely rivalries going, not really, and assurances about security or Garda being present before kick off and at FT could be made. But it all depends on the FAI I suppose. They're more than entitled to say no, and leave the club looking to Galway or wherever.
