According to Adam Roux today (www.footballleagueworld.co.uk), Hourihane will be taking on more coaching duties at Barnsley, following the departure of Dean Whitehead to Stoke. Hourihane returned to Barnsley as a player/coach, but has made just two appearances so far this season.
Retires from playing, aged 33, to take up the role as Assistant Manager at Barnsley.
